Dolly's café is named after the Dolly Sisters, a pair of glamorous identical twins who entertained audiences in the 1920s alongside our founder Harry Gordon Selfridges – with their enchanting performances.

Our art deco-inspired café, located at the heart of the store, is the perfect place to enjoy the great British tradition of afternoon tea.
Treat someone special or yourself to our exquisite range of teas, coffees, pastries and sandwiches as well as our stunning Champagne Afternoon Tea.

As a Keyholder, book the best seat in the house and enjoy a festive afternoon tea at Dolly’s for the occasion. Dolly's Cafe Festive Afternoon Tea for £49.95 per person or with a glass of Selfridges Selection Brut Champagne for £59.95 per person. Weekday tables bookable at 5pm and weekends tables at 3pm. Confetti Spectacle is at 6pm on weekdays and 4pm weekends. The experience is bookable ONLY with an afternoon tea, option for champagne Afternoon Tea and non-champagne Afternoon Tea.

Afternoon tea sandwiches were soggy, salmon sandwich was stuffed with overpowering cream cheese, desserts were average, service was very slow and hardly cleared the table. Prices are understandably high because of the location.

It was my daughter’s 18th birthday, which I told you when booking. There was NO attempt to make it special. The sandwiches were soggy. Really underwhelmed. I’ve had so much better and would not come again.

The seating is under the escalator so there is a lot of foot traffic around you. The service was very good and very friendly. The afternoon tea was well prepared and presented. The cakes are incredible, fresh and delicious. The price of £49pp is appropriate to the restaurant and London prices. I would recommend trying the fresh strawberry cheesecake.

From the pictures I thought that this was a special Art Deco cafe. Basically it is a fenced off cafe in the shop. There is no ambience. The cakes are lovely but expensive. Coffee and cake is around £15. Not worth it.
