    Paolo Scavino is a historic winery in the Barolo region, founded in 1921 in Castiglione Falletto by Lorenzo Scavino and his son Paolo. Farming has always been a family tradition and passion. Enrico Scavino, together with his daughters Enrica and Elisa, run the family Estate. He started to work full time in the winery in 1951 when he was 10 years old, a young winemaker who inherited the passion and devotion for the land he belongs to. With over 60 years of experience, his focus has been to invest in the important cru of Nebbiolo in order to show the uniqueness of each terroir. Their work is inspired by the love and respect they have for the territory as they pursue a purity of expression, complexity and elegance for their wines from the three local grapes: Dolcetto, Barbera and Nebbiolo.     All four of us ordered differenly. My pasta dish with mushrooms was delish. The risotto divine, the fish beautiful, and the other pasta great. No dessert for us. Too full.

    Had a great time and the food was delicious. I was hoping they had rabbit on the menu but they didn't (only complaint). We had a large party and the spaced was very accommodating.

    Donato Co. has been a delightful ethnic cuisine for us while in Berkeley. We appreciate the waitstaff knowing their menu without hesitation and expertise and with expressed passion!
