   Dos Olivos is an unexpected little gem in the heart of Buda. The menu is small, but all of the items are very tasty. The charcuterie boards are average price and portions. The market tinned fish board where you get to select your own two tins was a treat (runs about $30 but varies on which tinned fish you select). The service is attentive, and the noise level is in the goldilocks zone. Even when we visited and they had a due playing guitar and singing, they managed the volume beautifully and it was just a hair above "loud" in there. All in all, it's quickly becoming our favorite date-night spot.

   Nice location. Easy parking. Love the restaurant/market concept. The owner should look into a hiring a lighting expert. The restroom needs calmer bulbs. The lighting/bulbs feel in the main dining areas feel like spotlights in some areas. We sat next to the broken bottom beer fridge which was like sitting next to a convenience store aisle. Food was tasty and well portioned, broccolini wasn’t. We did feel rushed, however.

   For Saturday, 12/21/2024, I made an early reservation for a friend and me to enjoy a leisurely lunch although, owing to the time/season, I really did not need a reservation. The sommelier Jason and servers Kaitlyn and Amaya greeted us and lavished us with excellent care. My friend and I shared several plates including Burrata salad, which paired white balsamic dressing over cherry tomato salpicon and crisp popped sorghum leaves. Next, "sticky chipotle salmon" which paired a generous topping of tropical pico and chipotle glaze. Quite savory!  By the way of desert, we devoured the "pain perdu" (French toast,) the most flavorful French toast that I had ever enjoyed, topped with cream, Horchata foam and toffee caramel. Absolutely delicious!  Was such charming and elegant, interior finishes, excellent service and delicious cuisine, I so hope to make a very quick return for another memorable experience. A+

   There is nothing here that we’ve tried and not liked, it has been a hit for our family! The pan tostado is a must have app every time!

   Lovely modern market restaurant with unique and tasty menu items and lots of beer and wine. The service and ambience were excellent. We were there on a weekday around 5pm so it was quiet. Will definitely go back.

    Despite reserving a spot, our table wasn't clean or ready upon arrival. When our food arrived, it was disappointing. I ordered grilled chicken, but it was served fried and overwhelmed with excessive BBQ sauce. The pork tenderloin was dry and overcooked, and the short ribs were both dry and greasy. The sides were decent, but overall, food fell short of expectations.
