   We were the only people in there. We went on Valentine's Day at 2:30 in the afternoon, which was perfect. We had our choice of seating. The staff were very kind and accommodated. There was a special menu this night that we were unaware of because we go there for one thing, and it's the cod with passion fruit cream sauce. Which was not on the menu, but the chef was able to make it for us anyway. Which was awesome bc it was kind of a disappointment to see such a small variety of meals to choose from. I wanted a salad, but they didn't have any on the menu for that night, which was fine. I ended up getting the chicken Mozambique. Which was hit and delicious. The only complaint I had was that the chicken was steaming hot, but the rice was cold. I took a couple of bites and left it. Our overall time there was great. We have been here before with zero complaints, and that is why I still gave the 5 start rating. We will be coming back as always.

   The restaurant appeared to be closed when we arrived as we did not see any customers. We walked in and were greeted properly and were asked if we had a preference on which side we wanted to sit because one side was colder than the other. We asked to be seated wherever it was warmer. We observed many heaters in the restaurant and were sat next to one that was on the floor. Even with the heater it was still cold and we had to eat with our coats on. The bottom of the walls were chipped. The food was ok. The steak lacked flavor and the filet i ordered was tough and not tender. We picked this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary in hopes we would have a great time, but it wasn’t the vibe we expected at all. This place should really look into their heat issue, looking at the reviews seems like this was mentioned a month ago and clearly nothing has been done.

   We had a giant meatball, filet mignon w/ gnocchi, Portuguese steak and slice of dulce de tres leches cake. Everything was excellent. Steaks were cooked perfectly with a crisp sear and medium rare interior. Service was exceptional. The vibe is upscale yet comfortable. We will be back.

   First time going to this resturant . The first impression the resturant was very nice when you walk in . We were sat right away with our reservation. There was no heat in the building . They had portable heaters that were of no help . It was 20 degrees outside . Myself and others were dinning with their winter coats and hats on. Our waiter was rude . Didn’t offer simple things like water. The appetizer cauliflower and the Portuguese soup were the best part of our dinner . I ordered the steak kabob medium well. They gave it to me raw . I sent it back . It came back still Raw. Not Even a little bit better I don’t think they looked at it when sent it back to me . I told the waiter and he was snippy and said I’ll take it off the bill. My husband ordered a bourbon neat for his first drink . He asked for the same drink when he was done .the waiter brought back an old fashion . There is a difference. My husband was not going to ask to change it because he was already frustrated . For our first dinner date of 2025 it was a flop.

   Overall excellent. It was New Year’s Eve so they were busy but still did awesome. Not my first time here. Food has always been excellent. Great wine collection. Very good dining experience and the best overall experience in the area.

   This is our second visit within a few weeks! On our first visit, the food (generous & tastefully prepared) and our server/manager Eddie were so good that we were eager to return. The atmosphere was also so tasteful & welcoming …. from the gorgeous elegant tree to the Douro mural painting on the wall, the floral pieces, lighting, etc … Fast forward to yesterday’s visit when we were greeted by our very personal & efficient server Jason! Once again, along with a nice wine selection, the food was delicious 😋 and the three of us each took home leftovers home to enjoy! Needless to say, if you are looking for quality, chef-prepared food in a lovely atmosphere, I would highly recommend!

   This was our first time dining here and the waitress was wonderful and very attentive without hovering. The portion size was very generous on 3 or the 4 meals ordered. Nice variety of dishes on the menu. Location is nestled in the downtown part of the city and still had a quaint neighborhood feel. Ceilings are high so noise was not an issue at all. Dining area we sat in was about 80% full. The only negative comment was that the 2 of the seafood dinners served did not have the variety of seafood choices as described on the menu and one of the seafood dinners was not in the lemon/butter sauce stated and was served in a mozambique sauce....a very different flavor. Also, crab legs were served and they didn't have any crab leg cracker tools making eating very difficult. Overall, we would return for a second try.....

    Our server Anderson was delightful and professional and the restaurant presented us with a free glass of champagne to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary. Inside the venue was spectacular and cozy. Xmas decor and lights were beautiful. The calamari and Portuguese steaks were delicious! My wife and I had red and rosé wine, both very good. We didn’t try dessert because we were full, but they had great choices. We will go back at some point to try some polvo 😋 and get more calamari. Thank you to the staff for a great night out!
