This was the first time that we visited Downtown Sushi. The food was absolutely delicious! We tried three different rolls, the lemon roll. The gas lamp roll, and the California roll, and they were all amazing. The service was a little slow, which surprised us as there was only one other table in the whole restaurant. That was really the shame of it all! This place is a really good place to go for sushi and sashimi, however, it is not in a very good section of downtown San Diego and as a result, I think that very few people have ever even tried it. Frankly, I’m surprised they are still open, but I really hope that people , give them a try! Our server was a bit, overwhelmed at first and seemed quite nervous. Perhaps she is new, I really don’t know. However, when looking for good fresh sushi, this is certainly a great choice in downtown San Diego!

It was a beautiful place and the service was amazing would definitely suggest a Lyft or Uber to there but fees and service was perfect

Our food was delicious and the staff was friendly, helpful and just fantastic. We were visiting from out of town and wish we could go here more often.

For the most part a great experience. Calamari was a little on the chewy side, and they brought out avocado rolls instead of avocado and cucumber rolls. Everything else was great. They should expand their appetizer selection though. Very limited for a Japanese/sushi restaurant.

Sushi was fresh and very good. The presentation, texture, all very good. The plates for the sushi are made of some kind of volcanic rock, which was very interesting. I would definitely come again.
