Surprised my booking was upheld, based on we were the only 3 people in there, Music was too loud really for the nominal amount of people, the food was average definitely not worthy of the excessive price’s. Not when other reputable establishments are significantly better and greater value for money. Sadly, without the offering of deals, i see this place only being a Weekend haunt for young wealthy couples.

We were the only customers ! I can only assume that this was due to the lack of alcohol licence ! Food however was very well presented and delicious.

Apart from the service, everything else was quite terrible. Me and wife had chops for starters and prawn toast. The sauce on the toast was horrible! The sesame toast are better at chinese take aways. It just dis not taste right. Then came the mains after about an hour after starter, such a long wait! the chow mein my wife got was horrible! The noodles seemed as if it was instant noodles, the chicken was weirdly powdery and there was a lack of taste. My butter chicken luckily was very good, i did order naan on the side but that came after i had finished the curry so i told them i did not want it. Another added note the coke i ordered was not coca cola, it was definitely some cheap version of it. The service was good, the place is in the middle of nowhere and for a Friday night there was no atmosphere, it just felt odd. the food was nowhere near the standards they charge for it. Sorry Dusk, i appreciate you are relatively newly opened but you definitely got to up your game in order to succeed!

The staff were very friendly and helpful, however the heating was faulty and i felt the food was over priced and slightly pretentious.

Very surreal, we had heard the hype, with someone saying it’s the most popular restaurant in Essex right now, so we were eager to give it ago. Booked through the new iPhone app which was very easy. We booked for a Friday night, at what would have been a popular dining time. On arrival, it’s a bit in the middle of no where, but that no a problem, easy parking. The outside looks pretty smart with the big Dusk sign all lit up. We were met at the door by two doormen/bouncers both extremely friendly. We then walked through to the receiving desk and bought up our reservation, before a very over keen waitress dressed in night club attire whisked is to our seat, on walking to the searing area I was shocked that there were only 3 other tables occupied out of maybe 50-60 tables! It looked so strange and the fake atmosphere was so apparent! The place was teaming with staff and they outnumbered dinners 2-1! We sat down and was immediately offered a chip and dips selection. We then looked at the drinks menu.. now before I go on, yes I saw the notice saying ‘bring your own alcohol’, I have been to other places like this and they still have sold some kind of alcohol. Not this place, it a sniff of it bar 0% mock ups. What on earth are they doing. The waitress was almost proud of the fact there was no booze. But believe me this place needs to sort that and fast as before you read on, they are going to need it. So after ordering a couple of cokes we peruses the menu. All seemed fine and the food that was on offer sounded promising. I ordered a lobster starter and my partner ordered some kebab thingy. When my starter arrived it was accompanied by a glass with co2 tablets creating an atmospheric smoke. The waiter then informed me that it wasn’t edible so don’t pour it on my starter. No sh@t Sherlock. The starter had foam added to the top lots of chopped veg and the lobster had quite a few chewy bits mixed in. Taste- bang average. It was a £14 starter. Not a great start.

Still early days but the new concept of no alcohol being provided at a venue will be hard to maintain, certainly for my group of friends. Yes you can take your own which works out cheaper but its an inconvenience. Its an interesting menu and well presented but carting a bag of wine and beers on a Saturday night out doesn't appeal to me, sorry.

The whole atmosphere and surroundings is nice in general. The only issue I had was that they did not serve alcohol. You had to go round the corner to shop and purchase your own alcohol which you could bring in. They had a variety of alcohol-free drinks which wasn't helpful at all. Also, the food was mediocre and did not have that much taste. The service was lovely. This place is good for non-drinkers, shisha lovers and those who do not like spicy food. In this country, it is a norm to serve alcohol or at least have the option to buy alcohol. There were customers next to us who complained about the same thing.
