We arrived early for our reservation and the hostess while polite was extremely indifferent almost cold towards me. The food for the most part was ok, my rigatoni was not cooked enough to be considered aldente. We did see our server much so I chewed through the under cooked pasta. We sat for 20 minutes after desert and I finally had to wave to the server for the check. We have been to eataly in Toronto and New York and the was by far the least pleasurable experience we’ve had. Disappointing at best

Shame. Birthday dinner. We sit down and a random waiter, not ours it turns out says here is some water, our bar is busy so your waiter will come and take care of you soon…and we wait and wait and 15/20 minutes later we get asked what we would like to drink. Then we order. Quick and efficiently, and then we wait and wait….watch others get food….2 pasta, 1 meat ball, 1 fish fry. Bolognese was fine, carbonara was thick and too pastey. My meatballs were over cooked and dry. The cacio e pepe looked like hummus. Just an awful dish On the bright side our waitress recognized all the shortcomings of the evening and tried to make it up by being super sweet and allowing a quick order for a pizza instead of the meatballs to come super fast Not sure I’ll be coming back. The menu is very limited. If you don’t want pasta and you don’t want pizza there really isn’t much else to eat

We've been to Eataly twice before and both times the food and service were excellent. This time however not so much... The server, while competent, seemed distracted and missed a number of the small things you expect your server to pick up without having to be asked ... like noticing that your table is dirty and needs to be wiped up. It is really bad when your next course is served upon the crumbs of your previous course. Also, I don't know it their refrigerator was broken or what but the bottled water was room temperature ... yuck! We also blindly ordered a bruscetta appetizer thinking that bruscetta is toasted bread with tomatoes, garlic, basil, olive oil and maybe balsamic vinegar. Well, I don't even know how to describe what we got ... it was bread with some type of whipped cheese, asparagus, peas and bacon. Tasted horrible! Our bad for not reading the menu I suppose but that is not bruscetta the way I know it. The mains were RAVIOLI DI PISELLI E STRACCIATELLA and TAGLIATELLE ALLA BOLOGNESE. In both cases the pasta was WAY undercooked almost crunchy. The RAVIOLI was bland and tasteless. The TAGLIATELLE was actually very tasty and would have been an excellent dish were it not for the undercooked pasta. Finally desert ... the deserts themselves were very good but they were served with what I can only describe as shovels! The spoons were so large, these had to be serving spoons! Large spoon ... small desert cup ... a very awkward combination. All-in-all a disapointing experience!

I've been here four times, never once has the pasta been actually good (never cooked al dente, usually lukewarm by the time it arrives, sauce never flavourful). Had the bolognese twice and the meat sauce is hard. Just really disappointing. The tiramusi pancakes were gluey and undercooked. Pizza is decent though. Service is good enough but not amazing. They do leave you alone but it's to the point of being unattentive and trying to get their attention (this is when it's not super busy). Host/hostess never friendly, they act like they're doing a favour bringing you to your seat. It's a weird vibe.

We enjoyed the food and the service. Because we had a small table to ourselves in the back room, it was quiet which older people really appreciate.

Mediocre at best. Poor value for what you get. Service was slow (45 minutes wait for first course) on a Monday for lunch.

Having been to many Eataly locations worldwide, very happy to see one at Shops. Overall good experience but frustrating that you cannot get a latte with alternative milk when seated in the restaurant but in the bar/quick serve section it is readily available. Also feel that the artichoke plate was incredibly small.

We will not return. To start with, the wine glass had lip stick stains on it. Server notified and wondered how that was missed. The menu was not extensive, limited options. Long story short, the pizza that was ordered had hair on it. Eataly extended a courtesy and did not charge us for it. Very disappointed.
