Bucks is always a good time. The portions are more than generous and delicious. If you like a mixture of rock music the ambience is definitely for you as well.

My family and I visited Bucksbar in Edinburgh, Hanover St, on Friday, 09 November. We had booked a table for seven two weeks in advance. Upon arrival, we were informed that we would be seated at two separate tables, which took us by surprise as we had not been informed about this arrangement beforehand. This situation visibly upset our children. Although the staff apologized, they did not attempt to rectify the mistake or offer any compensation. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was spot on, and the food was really good. However, because we were seated at two different tables, our food arrived at different times, with other tables being served in between. At the end of the night, a staff member apologised again but suggested that we should phone and double-check our booking next time. Three of our party work in hospitality, and we found that comment completely inappropriate. It is the business's responsibility to inform customers of any issues with their bookings, especially when the mistake is on their part. We understand that Friday nights are busy, but customer service should be a priority. This issue did not ruin our night, but it has definitely changed our perspective on Bucksbar, so we will reconsider our choice for our next family night out.

SUPERB CUSTOMER SERVICE! friendly, warm welcome and the food was beautiful. You won't leave here hungry that's for sure! Music was a good vibe whilst eating and it was a really quirky cool place. Highly recommended 👌

Been to bucks bar a few times and have all previously been great but this time wasn’t as good . The food was okay , wasn’t as hot as I had previous and was very very quick from ordering to coming to our table from the kitchen . We weren’t quite finished and we asked to order more drinks but the waitress said they needed our table ‘very soon’ . We felt as though we were getting pushed out even though we hadn’t had our allotted time at the table . Furthermore it look 15mins for the waitress to come to give us our bill and take payment so we could have had our other drink. Over all an underwhelming visit .

We were having a lovely time. The food was really good and the singer was amazing. Really good atmosphere. However after spending a reasonable amount of money we asked to order another (last) round of drinks. After ignoring us for a while the waitress then informed us that because someone in our party seemed intoxicated they were refusing to serve us. We were by no means drunk or disorderly in fact not all of us were drinking. This completely spoiled our evening and we will not be returning to Bucks bar.

Had a fantastic meal tonight. The only thing I would say is that 6 of us were standing squashed around the bar which was also very full waiting for our seats. This was blocking everyone from getting in and out. There needs to be an area to wait in for tables that aren’t ready. The food and service was outstanding though and we would 100% return.
