My Girlfriend and I stopped there on our first night in Carmel by the Sea. The waiter was friendly and on top of it. You could tell it was a hit spot with the locals. They had a few live musicians, and they were all very good. The dance floor opened up later and it was fun. The local wine was fantastic. The only real bummer was that we were told the Clam Chowder was amazing and it was simply not to our liking. We don't like the runny/watery clam chowder and the potatoes were a bit undercooked. Overall a good, fun experience.

I came here for my birthday this year, excited after seeing the restaurant during a trip to Carmel last year. I made a dinner reservation two weeks in advance, but when we arrived at our 7:30 PM reservation time, our table wasn't ready. The host mentioned that a table nearby was finishing up and should be available soon. We waited around 20 minutes, hungry and disappointed, but it was clear that no tables would be opening up anytime soon. Frustrated, we decided to leave. This experience ruined my birthday dinner. If the restaurant takes reservations, they should ensure a table is actually available when guests arrive. Additionally, the host didn't offer us a drink or any gesture of goodwill while we waited outside. I will not be returning. Very poor service.

Loved the causal vibe at Edwins. Right off the main drag in Carmel. The singer Sabelle was rockin her Indie folk, and we loved hearing her play while we dined. Seafood curry was yummy. Will definitely go back.

We booked for lunch. The restaurant wasn’t open. Their website said they’d be open for Saturday lunch. OpenTable let me make the reservation. But nope. They weren’t open.
