   849 is definitely one ( including Willie’s Modern Fare ) of our very favorite restaurants. The great staff, delicious food and ambiance are a perfect combination. Thank you again for a great experience

   I go to 849 probably once a month. Good, dependable food. Excellent bar. Good service. On an unusually hot April day I sat outside, protected by a covering. Pleasant ambience. I'm a fan particularly of the salad with the house-brined salmon.

    Our reservation was honored and we were seated right away at a wonderful outdoor table. Our waiter was very nice and when he was overwhelmed by the number of tables he needed to attend to the host was lovely and took our orders and checked in on us again later. Drinks were absolutely delicious...especially our tequila drinks (the prickly pear and the new version of "some like it hot" was fantastic! The food though was a bit disappointing compared to our last visit. Everything came out lukewarm at best, the poblano chile cheese was tasteless as was the casing for the poblano and the carne asada did not taste smoked at all. I will say that the beans and salsa were quite tasty and that prices were fair for the portions. May come back again but probably just for the cocktails.
