Nestled in the cottonwoods, El Pinto was founded with 10 tables in 1962. Twin brothers John and Jim Thomas, carry on the family tradition and have expanded El Pinto into the quintessential "Spot" for healthy and fresh New Mexican cuisine. Experience an authentic Taste of New Mexico.

The Salsa Twins are pairing tradition with innovative healthy nutrition at El Pinto. Never again. Recommended by our AirBnB hosts. Chips nice and crispy, salsa very tasty with a light kick, and good service from Matthew. The good news ends there. The Margaritas: way overly sweet. The food was barely warm; though edible it was not what any of us would call delicious: salad with 3 thick slabs of unripe tomato, odd- looking rectangular rellenos that resembled industrial food products, tasteless pinto beans, salmon way-overcooked…the list goes on. Pathetic and disappointing.

We were seated so close to the music that I could easily touch the stage. The entire evening was ruined as we could not converse with our guest. The service was not good. Very bad evening. No one should be seated at this table. Shame on you, El Pinto!

We enjoy dinner here regularly and usually report an excellent experience. This time, the service was terrible. Our waitress took a half hour to get our order, and the meal was served an hour later. We spent 2 hours eating on a Thursday evening!

Loved the patio saw finches and robins drinking at fountain. Had lunch with 7 other ladies,Colin kept up with all wants needs and requests of 7 Grandmas. He was gracious and attentive. That made the lunch perfect!

Upon arrival, we we greeted with warm smiles & open arms. Ty, our host-advocate-waiter, is exceptional. The ambiance, food & service made for a most memorable evening.

Very highly priced for bad quality food. The fire place was on and it was 70 degrees out. I requested a birthdya desert for my dad and it never came. Reminded me why I stopped coming here 10 years ago.

If you can stand the heat, get the Carne Ribs! Best on the Planet. The calabacitas and Beans and Rice were outstanding, but I dont want to take away credit to the chips and salsa,,, oh did I mention the beer,,,,,
