The food was awesome. I am grain and dairy free, so usually eating out is a challenge, but they were able to accommodate my needs and give me a wonderful experience!

I’ve been here several times for girls’ nights out and date nights. The food, cocktails, and service are outstanding! Excellent happy hour, and regular prices are also incredible. Portions are decent and for 2, we were stuffed. Each time I’ve been, I’ve asked the server for recommendations and they have never steered me wrong. Great location, ambiance, and friendly vibe. Will come here over and over again!

We went in on a friend’s recommendation with no expectations. The menu was filled with unfamiliar dishes so we were a little unsure where to begin but our server was incredible and listed out several recommendations making the experience easily digestible. When our first item came to the table we were locked in. Everything came out in perfect timing and in perfect order. HIGHLY recommend going on a Monday night with the all day happy hour. This allowed us to sample a bit of everything and before the night was over, we booked our next visit. Everything was delicious and the hh tapas style menu was perfect for small plates shared amongst my girlfriend and I.

The food and experience at El Raval were great! We enjoyed everything we ate and the ambience was really cool. Our waitress was pretty inattentive and our courses came out really slow so it made for a very long dinner (almost 3 hours for two of us!). The sommelier was super nice and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back!

One of the best restaurant experiences in Austin. The only place I’ve been that we didn’t have a single underwhelming dish, and we were a party of 6 that tried about half the menu. Can’t wait to return to try the other half. Stand outs were the chicken, short ribs, seafood paella, patatas bravas, and torrijo dessert. But honestly everything was incredible. Service was also stellar. Our server frequently made eye contact when passing to check in without actively interrupting the group. The noise level was surprisingly low considering the size of the dining room and busyness at 7pm on a Saturday. The ambiance was beautiful, lights were low but not too low, the lamps on the table were a nice aesthetic touch while aiding with the menu for those that needed it. Thanks to the restaurant staff for knocking it out of the ballpark. We will be back.

Great food and service! Spanish tapas, paella and sangria! For 4, we shared 6 tapas (gambas al ajillo, patatas bravas, calamari, pan con tomate and anchovies, ceviche, and grilled octopus) and the Paella de Marisco, which was plenty of food. Needed extra bread to soak up all the amazing garlic butter from the shrimp. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We were seated in the high top area as our reservations were made only a few hours in advance on a Friday night. The noise level was a bit loud to enjoy conversations in our seating area, but honestly, some very good food did make up for it. We had the ceviche and oysters, which were phenomenal. As well, the albóndigas and steak paella. All during our meal we spoke over and over about wanting to return to enjoy again. However, it was when we ordered dessert that our experience began to sour. We ordered the Torrija, which took almost 30 minutes to arrive. Even when we asked about the delay, we were told wrongly we could expect it soon. We had show tickets and were about to cancel the order when it finally arrived. Our dinner and meal came out much faster. We ended up not really enjoying the dessert or finishing as we had to leave. Our server seemed to be having an off day, but you never know what someone might be going through. I’m on the fence whether I’ll return for another visit.

Gambas al Ajiillo was delicious but wasn't a big fan of Octopus, Mussels or even the Paella. Octopus had a bitter aftertaste (it was not the sauce), Sauce on the Mussels were too creamy for our taste, and I don't think it was as fresh as it could've been... The cook on the Paella was pretty good but once again, they put the creamy sauce on the mussels and there was a dollop of what tasted like garlic aioli on the side - not quite the Paella we've had in Spain. However, our biggest issue was that the food came out too fast. We had our appetizers and the Paella all within 25 min from ordering. It felt more like going to a fast food restaurant than going out for a nice dinner - we were there to celebrate our 33 year anniversary and was bit disappointed... Having said this, someone else may love the taste of the food and love the fast service.
