   We were seated at probably the worst table in the sunset room and were in between the kitchen and the espresso bar. There were workers constantly walking by us the entire time we were there and we had absolutely no view of the sunset. I’ve been to Elephante probably 7 times and this experience makes me want to never return. We also asked the hostess if there were any other options and she said she could check with the manager and look into moving us and even when better tables sat empty they never moved us. Bad management and bad planning.

   We made the reservation a few days in advance, but there were no tables inside we seated outside on a balcony, and yes, there was a heat lamp, but it was extremely cold. The tables were low and the seats were uncomfortable.

   Great view, great food, great service. Elephante consistently offers a wonderful dining experience which is why it is by far my favorite restaurant in Los Angeles and has been for many years.

   We absolutely LOVED our experience at Élephante!! it’s a great vibe— chic, but also casual—and perfect for near the beach. The food is out of this world. The pizza is amazing! We had an incredible server and the whole time we felt cared for and looked after. Highly recommend the passion fruit pavlova— so good! The dining room was packed on a Tuesday, but we never felt rushed or ignored. I cannot say enough good things about this place! we can’t wait to go back.

   First they stuck me and my elderly handicapped mother at a table with a couch in the loud crowded bar when I specifically requested a table with a view by the water side. We were then moved after 15 minutes after I asked. Then we finally sat at our table where we were rudely greeted by one of the hostesses with a 1 1/2 hour time limit to eat our dinner when it wasn’t even that packed. So these 2 things started our meal off horribly followed by management coming to our table to let us know that “well, the time limit is understood!” Um no, you telling us how much time we have to eat our meal isn’t “understood” when we dine out. Anyways, our server herself was great… I remember the food being better another time I went. The music was very loud for a Sunday afternoon… so loud the table next to us got up and left. We were literally shouting across the table to each other. The best thing about our meal was each other and the sunset. I was extremely disappointed especially after talking this place us to my family who I took there. The food was standard, I had better pasta the time I went before. Oh well… can’t win them all.
