   Tonight, February 15, we showed up for our reservation for party of four for dinner and were told there was a special price fix menu for Valentine’s Day, rather than the regular menu. We did not get a heads-up about this when we made the reservation. Because we had guests, we felt we had no option but to stay at Elevage. The offerings were extremely limited, but a huge issue was the exorbitant cost. Half a chicken was $69, dover sole was $80, as was the pork steak and lamb chop. We had guests in town and had told them what a great place Elevage was. My husband and I were completely embarrassed, particularly when the food turned out to be absolutely awful! I had the “half chicken” which was the smallest chicken I’ve ever seen!! Judging from the size of the bones, I sincerely believe it was half a Cornish hen. Our guests had the Dover sole and ended up not eating it because it tasted so poorly. It was a completely frustrating, disappointing and costly meal!! My husband and I concluded that we will not be returning to Elevage any time soon. Such an unfortunate experience and I truly think Elevage needs to re-evaluate how it handled this event from start to finish.

   After a good meal at Elevage 6-weeks earlier, last night's food was extremely disappointing. Service was good, but the Valentine's meal fell flat. The food felt like it was made earlier in the day and reheated for service. The lump crab appetizer was the only thing that tasted freshly made. The desserts were especially bad. Not sure if we'll return. At that price point and so many other options in South Tampa, they really need to deliver a better meal.

   Came for the Valentine’s prize fixe menu. Host was welcoming and sat us immediately for our reservation. Sean, our server, was patient as we explored the menu, offered suggestions, and we landed on a few cocktails and our dinner selections. We ordered a bottle of wine with dinner and Sean presented it quickly and properly. Our meals were timed expertly and Sean provided just enough presence without feeling like he was hovering. Food was great, and had surprisingly large portions(which was welcomed!). The only complaint we could have was the sole dish needed a tad more salt and the overhead lights were too bright. After our meal, Sean cleared and provided some small talk about the restaurant’s lunch and breakfast options, enticing my date and I to plan a return visit to grab lunch sometime in the near future. Fantastic experience with Sean and would recommend to anyone looking for a great experience.

   Made a reservation which was delayed by 30 minutes while there were open tables everywhere. There was a fixed,limited over priced menu which was not stated upon my reservation. The bill did not clearly state that there would be a gratuity charge of 18% so on top of that I tipped an extra 20% which is ridiculous!

   This was a great Valentine's Day dining experience. Everything was well planned, expertly prepared and flawlessly executed. Thanks for a wonderful evening. And the long-stem rose was a really nice touch!

   I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Elevage SOHO Kitchen and Bar on Valentine’s Day. When I made our reservation, there was no mention of a special, overpriced menu. Upon arrival, we were surprised to find that the regular menu was unavailable, and we were forced to order from a much more expensive fixed menu. Despite the restaurant having empty tables, my wife and I were told we could not sit next to each other because all the tables were supposedly booked. This made for an uncomfortable and impersonal dining experience. The only highlight of the night was our attentive server, but unfortunately, the food itself was just average—certainly not worth the inflated prices. To top it off, a $40 tip was automatically added to our check without clear disclosure. The bill totaled $285, and the check stated that a 15% gratuity was only applied to parties of six or more, which was not the case for us. The final straw was the valet situation. We waited about 10 minutes for service, only to find out that valet was complimentary until 7 p.m.—and conveniently, at 7:07 p.m., we were charged $10. It felt like a deliberate way to squeeze more money out of customers. Overall, this restaurant showed a lack of transparency and fairness. Between the unexpected costs, subpar food, and frustrating seating arrangement, this was not the romantic Valentine’s dinner we had hoped for. I won’t be returning.

   We smartly chose an early reservation time as it gets crazy loud as the space fills up. As always, the food was amazing. The baby kale salad was the salad of my dreams. Sadly, if I had finished it I would have been unable to eat my main course, the Bronzino, which was equally delicious. The hubs started with the pumpkin soup and rolled into the Homage to Bern’s, a steak sandwich. He was thrilled with both choices. We shared the berry cobbler for dessert we meant to only try a bite of it, but somehow devoured the whole, generous portion. Speaking of which, All of their dishes are quite large! Not that I’m complaining…

    Food was very good but the service was absolutely over the top. One has to appreciate a restaurant with professional servers.
