   Elizabeth’s is one of our “must hit” places every time we visit Marquette. We celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary today and were as impressed, delighted, and satisfied as ever. The wagyu is on its own level of cuisine.

   As always, impeccable service and delicious food! Starting with the breadbasket! Unique choices, especially the flat cheesy breadsticks. I usually get the fried shrimp, which tastes as good as my favorite restaurant when I was growing up downstate. This time I got the beef sirloin tips with mushrooms and Yukon gold mashed potatoes, with asparagus spears. Delicious! And my husband ordered the special, a Chilean Sea Bass, which he loved! He chooses the Caesar Salad, and I choose the chopped salad with apples and blue cheese. Both are great! Our server was personable and efficient. We choose this restaurant every time we have a special occasion dinner, though last night was just to go and enjoy!

   My husband and I had reservations for 5:30. We each ordered a drink, which took a while to get to us. For dinner I had the wedge salad, 6oz filet, and au gratin potatoes. The steak was definitely overcooked. I liked the potatoes. My husband liked what he had (bisque, steak Oscar style, baked potato). We shared crème brûlée for dessert, which also took quite a while to come out. We were here for 2 hours.

   Waited 50 minutes for salad-first course. Hostess took phone calls while we were waiting to be seated and didn’t put call on hold. Food was great but service is lacking.

   Our meals were delicious, however, our service was incredibly slow and we were seated at a table for two were I spent two hours looking at the exterior two corner, brick walls of the neighboring building.

    Nice happy hour with shrimp,appetizer. The 10 shrimp were huge! Steak was good and a nice touch that it comes with salad and side. Appetizer of 5 lamb chops was a good deal price wise, but they were over cooked. I asked for medium rare and the waitress said they cook the meal entree to order but not the appetizer. Why?? Aurora was a nice server.
