This restaurant is new to Scottsdale but been around for years in Tubac. Our experience was exceptional. Our server was able to explain the menu to our satisfaction and also able to go with the flow when we had trouble making up our minds. The cocktails are very creative and we really enjoyed them. The hazelnut mole was outstanding as was the Yucatan Shrimp Ceviche. My husband really enjoyed his Mole Almendrado. Definitely would go again.

This was our first time dining at Elvira's. The restaurant has lovely decor and a very interesting menu. There are a number of moles available and most of the items have a Mexican influence. Two of our party ordered steaks and I had the halibut. The dishes all had unusual preparations but were enjoyable enough. The prices are fairly high for what you receive. Overall a pleasant dining experience, but I do not see us being regulars here.

Last night, we took two out of town guests, too, one of our favorite new restaurants… Elvira’s! As always, the experience was stellar from the amazing food that has unique touches with every dish to the friendly service we had from the moment we stepped in the door! Our waiter, Mel, was absolutely fantastic! He was so personable and knowledgeable of the menu! He is a great asset to the restaurant and will definitely request him when we return, which will be soon! Our out-of-town guest were equally as impressed and wanted to come back on their next visit to see us! I highly recommend Elvira’s… a fantastic addition to the Scottsdale dining scene!

Love this restaurant! From the minute you walk in, thecstaff works hard to make sure you have s great exoerience. Our waiter made excellent suggestions. Loved the guacomole and chips. The Caesar salad was uniqueky served. Delicious halibet with fruit. The salmon was fantastic with a spicy mole. Look forward to our next time at Elviras.

The food was very disappointing. The Shrimp and Mango Citrus salad was soggy. The Chile Relleno had no flavor. There were no specials either. Not a great first impression either. They kept seating us in the least desirable tables. One was upstairs in the link of service and so dark we couldn't read the menus. We asked to be moved twice. It was odd because it wasn't crowded and there was plenty of open seating. We will not be returning anytime soon.

From the moment we hit the door , our hostess was so gracious and welcoming! We felt at home immediately! Chase is a remarkable server! His recommendations were spot on and he was gracious and welcoming along with efficient and knowledgeable! The food was delicious and it was a perfect evening! We brought a client of ours for dinner who had never been to Elvira's before and he was impressed beyond words! Thank you for all of your hard work... It's so appreciated! Special kudos to Chase! He clearly takes his work and his clients seriously and we could have not asked for a better experience!

We had a small disconnect when we arrived. There wasn't a table ready to accommodate 8 people. With very little discussion, the manager, arranged to open up the mezzanine level (which was closed at the time of our arrival 7:00pm) and created a beautiful spot for the 8 of use to enjoy our evening. What could have been a negative situation became an evening that all of us will tell our friends how much we enjoyed it and how well we were treated by Elvira's staff. The food was amazing. So original, fresh and innovative. Each item we ordered was perfect! A huge thank you to all the staff at Elvira's. Thank you for a truly lovely evening!
