   We had a small disconnect when we arrived. There wasn't a table ready to accommodate 8 people. With very little discussion, the manager, arranged to open up the mezzanine level (which was closed at the time of our arrival 7:00pm) and created a beautiful spot for the 8 of use to enjoy our evening. What could have been a negative situation became an evening that all of us will tell our friends how much we enjoyed it and how well we were treated by Elvira's staff. The food was amazing. So original, fresh and innovative. Each item we ordered was perfect! A huge thank you to all the staff at Elvira's. Thank you for a truly lovely evening!

   Atmosphere was nice. I’m not sure what I was expected, but I expected more…the atmosphere was just so-so, I expected more over the top. The food….was good, not great, and for the prices and hype I expected something unique and exceptional. On the up-side…the waiter was great and the cocktails were very good and the desserts were large & tasty. So all in all….Good,  Not Great!! Especially for the price.

   We took our 2c1/2 year old nephew, sat outside and he was immediately given chips to distract him and everytime our fabulous server came by she also asked him how we was doing. He was a happy little guy. And for my benefit there were no dogs any where near us

   Food was good, but nothing was incredible. Our server was great. The hostesses were very odd. We arrived for our reservation about 1 minute after we received a text saying our table was ready. After checking in, they proceeded to make us stand there for five minutes while they were doing nothing. It was very odd, and the restaurant wasn’t super busy. Then the older hostess asked “would you like to sit down now?” We both thought the whole experience with the hostesses was very strange.

   We celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary and had a wonderful time! The decor is fun, the food was delicious and all of the help including the woman at the check in desk and wait staff were so friendly and personable. We will definitely be back!!💕

   Filet Sosa was perfectly cooked (Medium), my husband's steak (Ribeye) was slightly overcooked (Medium). Brother got the surf N' Turf, good but not worth the price ($125). Don Julio Margarita was delicious, I ordered 2. Overall, atmosphere was beautiful and romantic. Service was great but took a little long to get served at the beginning once being seated. Table next to us needed to be cleaned for over 10 minutes.

    Elvira’s is a vibe. The ambiance is great. Everything on the menu is pricy, and overall the food is “good”. We were a party of 4 and ordered the Queso Fundido. It came with three small tortillas. When we asked for more they brought some out but perhaps they should have anticipated that and asked if we would like enough for the table. It’s a fun restaurant and the food is good but it’s. it somewhere I would choose to go again. For the price point there are better restaurants in North Scottsdale to try.
