   First class Sunday roast experience. As a lot have already said, must be through best roast we have ever had. My wife is not a huge roast fan, but even she was very very impressed.

   Excellent service. I pre-warned them regarding a food intolerance & before I arrived, they'd provided a menu with those dishes marked out.

   Keen to try this new local restaurant in Hertford Was prompted to book on seeing lunch menu offer on their socials and website. On being seated and receiving menus the lunch offer wasn’t presented and when asked about it were told that they’d stopped it. We then ordered from their standard menu which was lovely with some delicious small plates but £59 for a small piece of monkfish was extremely poor value for money.

   Really good quality lemon sole and the koffmann fries very tasty too. However, nearly £70 for 2 people without wine is a tad steep to make Ember a "must go back soon" kinda place. For a special occasion though it has a lot to offer.

   Timed seating (2 hours for us). Food sharing platters only. Spicy and tasty and quite adventurous, but rather oily or fried. Chicken rubbery and sparse within deep fried crispy coating, VERY noisy. Expensive for what it is - £70 + for 4 starters with 1 bottle of ordinary wine. We left after starters. For a young clientele. Tapas style. Lovely staff.

   Really amazing sharing plates with live DJ - the music was great, but we went on a Friday night and it was so loud we couldn’t really have a conversation. Maybe it was just the location of our table right by the stairs… but not sure if we’ll go back as it’s not really an intimate restaurant due to the loud music. A shame as the food was delicious - the monk fish and miso broccoli were particularly good.

   What a lovely restaurant. The food was amazing and I loved the sharing experience as we all were more adventurous in trying different dishes. We went at lunchtime and restaurant was not busy but loved the look and feel. Will definitely return and have no hesitation in recommending.
