Since 2011, EMei has emerged as one of Philadelphia's premier dining destinations, celebrated for its authentic Chinese cuisine curated by Master Chef Zhao and a team of 6 wok chefs that born and trained in the Sichuan region of China.
Boasting over 50 years of expertise in mastering Sichuan cuisine, Chef Zhao skillfully infuses dishes with bold chili oils, aromatic peppercorns, and expertly seasoned cuts of fish, meat, and produce.
Situated conveniently in Chinatown, EMei diligently procures fresh ingredients daily.     Overall, food was very good, service was prompt and attentive. The only item we were not wild about was the veg dumplings- they seemed to contain almost nothing but broccoli, and so were mushy inside, and not very tasty.

    Food has a lot of flavor. The vegetable fried rice was very tasty. Ordered the Farmhouse pork belly and it was good just a little too oily at the bottom of dish. Dumplings with a sweet/chili sauce were great! Overall, a good experience.

    I was certainly not truly impressed with this restaurant. I was hyped about going at first then my food experience was truly disappointing. It took I wrong dish to ruin the experience.
