We have been regular customers to Encasa for over 20 years and the restaurant has always provided good service and some good value and tasty tapas. We last visited in April and enjoyed our night very much so decided to return again last week for another catch up with old friends. The restaurant has been BYO forever and we brought 2 bottles of our favourite wine as usual to enjoy with our meal knowing that we would have to pay a small corkage. We were greeted by a friendly staff member who took our order and we asked for wine glasses for our wine which we had just opened. We were then told that the restaurant is no longer BYO! We asked to speak to the manager and explained that we had been coming to Encasa for over 20 years and we were very disappointed that they were no longer BYO and as this was our first visit since the policy had changed could we drink our wine and could she charge us a corkage as a gesture of goodwill. Sadly she was adamant that she could not compromise so we decided to leave. I understand policies can change, even after many years, but I feel that the restaurant should advise people when a reservation is made that they no longer allow BYO. Not only was it frustrating that we were not advised beforehand, I felt the Manager’s intransigence to some clients who had been regulars for years was poor customer service. Obviously Encasa does not have to rely on regular customers anymore but it is sad that we were treated so poorly.

Best Spanish potato omelette. Overall, all the food was amazing. The Sangria didn’t disappoint. We were very happy with our night out at Encasa

Went for a birthday dinner after having a great experience a couple of years ago. Food was nice but a little pricey for what you get. Service staff were great but the hostess at the front wasn't very polite. She seemed to be short with everyone and did the bare minimum. We would return for the chicken and chorizo paella and the sangria.

We came for my mums birthday as she wanted to have paella . We tried a number of tapas dishes which for some reason came out one at a time as opposed to having say a few to eat together. So it’s felt weird to eat say a plate of mushroom and nothing else Chorizo was flavourless . Had the seafood paella which was ok nothing special no nice crusty bottom which is what makes a good paella . Churros were tiny so ends up dry . Overall meal was only ok

Ordered a small plate, two tapas and a paella. Fed the 3 of us easily. Quite noisy because of how many people but the dishes are so worth it. Also reasonable price.

We booked in for bottomless brunch and when we arrived we were told there is a minimum of 4 people. I have been to the restaurant many times before and the servers were incredibly rude. I’m certain they spit in our food. They reluctantly agreed to do the Bottomless and our food came out so fast that we felt like we were being rushed. It’s a shame because it’s a great restaurant but after this experience I will never come back. There were also giant cockroaches running around time floor. Staff was on their phones and eating their meals on the floor next to us. Very unprofessional and rude.

Really good Spanish food at reasonable cost. My wife and I had a nice tapas and sangria for less than $90. The restaurant is cosy and well appointed. The staff were very friendly and attentive

I like be the food at Encasa. The table we were Seated at was full n a bad position, as we were a Couple On an early booking I suppose they were anticipating a Large crowd. But saying that we spent a lot of money for two people. The service was great and the food was impeccable although a little lit in portion size on some Dishes like the scallops. When you have two people sharing you expect an even portion to share 3 is a little short. The meals were-served quickly except for the last one. But it was all delicious and dessert too !
