   It was semi empty when we came in, we were sat quickly, our server Alan was amazing, attentive and helpful with menu questions. We ordered Croquetas de atun, star of the show simple yet delicious leaving a lasting impression, followed by the Ceviche Contramar, fresh citrusy seafood an amazing option. We also ordered ensalada de pulpo con patatas, the most buttery soft and succulent octopus I've ever had in my entire life truly delicious and amazingly cooked ! Our entree was the fish with green and red spread the red spread was highly favored over the green but still delicious. For the finale we order the banana dessert and chocolate brownie with nuts and vanilla ice cream ! Truly truly truly one of the most amazing desserts ! The banana dessert was amazing well thought and made dessert ! Overall 9/10 ! Thanks to everyone at Entremar

   We had a generally great experience. Everything we ate was delicious, with the whole fish, seared tuna in citrus and octopus tacos being standouts. The service staff was great and they worked their tails off to provide a great experience (switching out plates, cutlery; recommending delicious local wines, etc.). The only small negative is that the pacing is off, with the kitchen staff sending out food quickly. Several in our party commented that it felt like Commander’s Palace in New Orleans - very good food and staff but somewhat of an assembly line feel due to the high volume of customers served. Again, this a minor nit and I would definitely come back.

   Mexico City has a vibrant food culture, a mecca for foodies that offers something for everyone. Although landlocked, the seafood here is spectacular and Contramar had been recommend by a friend that visited earlier this year. However when I couldn’t secure a reservation for my wife’s birthday the restaurant offered a table at its sister restaurant Entremar, with its identical menu. We arrived at 6:45 the time of our reservation. The ambience was bland, a white bistro in the upscale Polanco neighborhood where there are hundreds of truly jaw dropping places to eat. The waiter introduced himself and took our drink order and recommended that we try several appetizers and of course their well known grilled fish with two sauces. He also asked the we order everything at once so the kitchen could then plate it all out for us. In less than five minutes we received our drinks, nothing special but fine. Given the cocktail culture in Mexico they were uninspired. And right along with the drinks the whole meal got delivered to the table. So quickly that they couldn’t fit the three appetizers, salad and fish. We were dumbfounded. I actually asked the waiter if they wanted us to leave as quickly as possible which he laughed off. It was clear that the cold appetizers had been waiting in a fridge for the order and the fish, which is popular here is already on the grill and just waiting for an order to come in. The two ceviches were nothing to write home about, we added salt, lime, and doused them with additional salsa to add flavor, the tiradita was mediocre, and forgettable, the salad was a simple but tasty mound of watercress, nopales and shredded cheese (the highlight of the meal) and the fish was slightly above average but nothing I would make a pilgrimage for. Total dinner time was 30 min. There was no desire to stay and nothing worth staying for. We walked to a nearby restaurant where we ordered drinks and food and celebrated my wife’s birthday into the night.

   I made the reservation over a month ago and we were sat in an undesirable location. The service was not up to the normal entremar standards I’ve experienced in my many other visits.

   I was recommended to the resterant and excited to take my son. xWe are from California and looking for great food experiences. This was our least favorite so far. The best thing was the whole fish but it was over cooked and dry.
