The team behind DTSJ favorites - Paper Plane, MINIBOSS, Still O.G. and Alter Ego - elevates the local scene once again with Eos & Nyx, a dual level indoor/outdoor dining experience serving Mediterranean flavors with modern twists.
Drawing inspiration from the Greek deities of dawn and night, this venue provides a culinary journey that transforms as the day unfolds. Guests will savor an array of mezzes, indulgent brunch offerings and grilled seafood and meats, all prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The bar program features inventive craft cocktails, wines and spirits, showcased against a striking double-height, rotating liquor display that spans both levels of the restaurant. The custom design elements create a captivating atmosphere - by day, the space is vibrant and energetic; by night, it transforms into an urban oasis with intimate accent lighting. Eos & Nyx artfully blend the concepts of day and night, presenting a one-of-a-kind elegant, memorable dining experience.

Unfortunately the food at this level, price and location fall flat. You would expect a more refined taste, the octopus was soft like mashed potatoes instead of bold taste, crisp grill and the duck pasta tasted like ground beef in red sauce, the lamb was unfortunately tough instead of being tender like Dio Deka or Evvia. The ambience is wonderful, the staff is welcoming however the food does not match the ambience or the price. The best item was the bruschetta appetizer and the worst was the duck pasta by far hands down by my entire family. I hope with time they refine the menu and adjust their price accordingly, especially for being located in Downtown San Jose.

The only dish that was so so was the carrots appetizer. Interesting concept but did not work. Table next to us agreed. everything else was fantastic! Had pasta with ground duck which was phenomenal and the dourade or bream fish and ny strip were perfect. Note that the potato cloud served with the steak was a very small portion. Everything was served in a way that was easy to share with the table. Loukomades or Greek beignets for desert also delicious if a bit more dense than regular beignets. Pricey but definitely value for money. Will return.

Fantastic new spot in downtown San Jose. Great space, beautiful decor, fantastic food, and ambiance. Considering that we were there around 10 days after opening, the service was also great. you can tell there are still a few things they need to iron out, all small things. More than reasonable. I look forward to going back soon

Incredibly disappointing. Beautiful restaurant and great service. Cocktails 90% ice (crushed ice to the brim). “Half chicken” is actually just a very skinny leg with a gnarled foot and a tiny wing - six bites of chicken. No breast or thigh. Served with “herb pine-nut salad” which was 6 sprigs of parsley with pine nuts. Two at our table had Daurade, one was undercooked. Lamb chops were ok. Octopus and prawns appetizers were good, served with the same sauce.

What an amazing dining experience! The restaurant is literally a beacon in downtown San Jose. The sign is bright and hard to miss. The moment we stepped inside we were greeted by the friendly host staff. The main dining room is beautiful and lively as well as a lovely bar. We took a peek upstairs where there a handful of dining tables, another bar and a great open window length counter where you can dine. Our service was friendly, professional and very prompt; our water never went empty. All the cocktails ordered were great. All of the food we ordered was delicious!! We loved and appreciated the complimentary appetizer and decadent chocolate at the end; wonderful touches. I’m so excited downtown finally has an excellent dining spot. We look forward to returning again! Well done Eos & Nix!

Great atmosphere and surroundings. Loved the upstairs bar and the open windows to the front alley. Service was surprisingly good for only the second day of operation. Cocktails were unique and tasty although some were very small despite being pricey. Food was terrific with unique and delicious combinations of tastes. Open kitchen created an energetic and bustling vibe.
