   Good, not great is the best way to describe Esh. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and had a lively, young atmosphere. The service was also very attentive, but somewhat rushed. My wife and I were in and out in just over an hour, with two drinks each. Should have been paced out better. The biggest disappointment was the food. The best thing we had was the meze dips. We split three additional apps and dessert. We were hoping for these vibrant flavors as described and ended up with an average outcome at hefty prices.

   We had the three-dip appetizer (hummus, baba ghanoush, tziki) and it was pricey for dips ($25). We asked for a second bread and they charged us an additional $9.00. The halibut was covered in the red pepper/tomato sauce. It was tasty but very heavy. My dining partner was disappointed. The dessert - rice pudding - was delicious but again, overkill with crunchy toppings that were not necessary. We paid $103/p.p. Including tip - no alcoholic beverages. The waitress seemed to be in a rush to take our orders, serve us, and deliver the bill so that part was not pleasant as far as offering us an experience. Probably will not return - place is fou-fou.

   I have eaten here many times and love the food the atmosphere and the service. This last time I thought the service was a little lacking otherwise great experience as ever.

   This was my first time at Esh and we had a great experience! The food was incredible (zucchini keftedes were my favorite) and our service was fabulous. I would recommend this for anyone, great for sharing plates!!

   What was a major turn off is the Bussers were putting their thumbs right on the clean plates they were giving you, including the entrees. And when the Bussers were giving you/refilling the water glasses, the nose of the water jug was touching our glass when filling ... can you imagine the mouth of that water jug is touching and spreading germs on everyone’s water glasses!!! That place is a major health hazard, i can't even think what else is going on in the back. Clearly the owners/managers have no clue on how to train their "staff" on safety/health etiquette.

   Phenomenal experience at Esh. The ambience is unlike any other restaurant in Fairfield County. It is spacious, and absolutely stunning, from the live trees and the beautiful lighting and decor. Everything we had was delectable. Amazing mezze dips, taboon flatbreads, salads, charcoal butterfly branzino, chicken musakhan, and even the charccoal grilled brussel sprouts were wonderful. Save room for dessert, absolutely loved the coal baked knafe (pistachio topped baked cheese dessert enveloped in flaky pastry), with homemade lavender ice cream. So highly recommend.
