The stunning restaurant, which is first of its kind in Philadelphia, will transport guests to the Greek Islands with an atmosphere reminiscent of an inviting Mediterranean home & a menu of authentic specialties, simply prepared, that represent the best of Greek cuisine. The restaurant specializes in whole grilled fish which are flown in from the Greek Islands, the shores of Morocco, Tunisia, & Portugal. Guests are able to choose from Estia’s expansive display & watch chefs cook their fish to perfection over a charcoal grill in the sparkling open kitchen.

Estia was a wonderful experience. Went there for restaurant week and had the restaurant week menu. Started off with the mussels for the appetizer and it did not disappoint. Also had the octopus with the onions and it was delightful. The main dish ended up with the halibut which was really good. The lamb chops with the small potatoes and the tzatziki on the side was a 10/10 dish. Paired really well together. The desserts were good and the drinks were well done and strong too! Gwen our server was amazing!!! Estia is a great place for a date night or a fun night out. Would go again and will recommend.

Outstanding theatre menu and price! All of the choices you need, some upcharges but the food is available on that menu. Complimentary bread and hummus are wonderful! Nice wine selection, cocktails, too. Service is spot on and entry staff is also very good. Best lamb chops and fantastic fish and great Greek standard entrees, desserts, and appetizers! We always eat there before shows at the Kimmel and Academy.

Center City District Restaurant Week menu before concert. Don't miss the octopus appetizer. And the saganaki. Lamb chops are top-shelf and prepared flawlessly. Nice drinks and desserts. It would be nice to improve the tea offerings. The servers have a large box full of everything but ordinary black teas -- no oolong, darjeeling, lapsang souchong, English Breakfast, Ceylon, or other typical black tea.

A great eperience at Estia! We ordered the Restaurant Week meal, and were very pleased. The Greek Salad had a fantastic vinaigrette and the lamb chops..... WOW. We also ordered 3 apps - a stack of lightly fried zucchini & eggplant slices (very thinly sliced), octopus and tuna tartare. All were spectacular. Our waiter, an older man who was obviously very experienced, was great. The only problem - we couldn't see the menu and had to use the flashlights on our phones. So, you guessed it, we're not spring chickens!! Will definitely go back!

We ate at Estia becuase of its Restaurant Week offerings which appealed. We had never been there before. We were promptly seated in a quiet corner where we could watch the busy action and yet felt nicely private. OUr server, Gavin, was most attentive, and took good care of us!! His fish recommendation was the one I chose and I was NOT disappointed. Though a pricey place (even the Restaurant Week meal was $60), the quality was high. My wine, a Temperanilo, was excellent, esp. for the price. The bread and hummus that came with the meal was first rate. My wife's mussel appetizer was fresh, flavorful and abundant. My octopus appetizer was very tasty and generous--what you would hope for in a taverna in Athens or Piraeus or Crete!!. I loved the accompanying flavors. My wife's lamb was cooked perfectly and utterly delicious. My Hallibut was cooked superbly (thank Gavin for the suggestion!), and topped with lovely veggies, flavorful and well-cooked. I did find the olive tapenade a trifle strong for such a delicately flavored fish.......the fish stood on its own--fresh, moist and perfect. Lemon/olive oil and capers would have been enough. I had the Baklava dessert, which, though small, was tasty and fresh. My wife's fudge baklava, was less exciting, and though adequate, didn't keep pace with the rest of the meal--which is why we gave the food four, not five stars. The room is very attractive, and does maintain a taverna feel, even though it is way larger than most tavernas. The restrooms were spotless and fun to use because of the design. We will be back!!! It is wonderful to have fresh fish and seafood cooked so expertly!!! And thank you Gavin!!!

Tried Estia out for Restaurant Week and so glad we did! The food was superb and the service divine!! We had sea bass, prawns, roasted potatoes, Greek salad, spinach rice, spanakopita, Estia chips and an exquisite fudge dessert. The service matched the food. Gavin was stellar. I worked as a server for a caterer in my college days and it’s some hard work. However, Gavin handled the tables with ease and grace. I asked him if he was a dancer in his spare time! His service was impeccable and his expertise made the meal even more enjoyable. All of the supporting serving staff were attentive and professional. And lest I forget, the starter of hummus and bread was out of this world.
