Located at 216 Church Road in Brighton & Hove etch. is a 12-table British tasting menu only restaurant by MasterChef: The Professionals winner Steven Edwards. Previously a bank etch. has a contemporary look with views of an open kitchen, dark blue walls & modern art.

Open from Wednesday to Saturday for dinner and Thursday to Saturday lunch etch. offers a choice five, seven or nine-course monthly changing menus. Dishes are ingredient led and utilise quality produce from in and around the surrounding Sussex countryside.

Lovely evening - but definitely will only gone back for a very special occasion due to the cost Also been once before abc fair amount of similarity in vegetarian menu on both occasions so would hesitate to return quickly

Etch is fantastic - this is our second visit and the food is amazing. Very efficient service which allows you to enjoy the courses whilst not waiting too long between things to try. Lovely food, lovely people - thank you once again.

The food was amazing but slightly beaten by Little Fish Market that we also visited recently.... Although the lobster and meat courses here were outstanding. The service was fabulous and the atmosphere much more enjoyable than some other similar type restaurants we’ve been to with a more hip and trendy vibe. Value is good and the knowledge of the ingredients and produce by the staff was impressive! Wine was affordable and the chilled red we had from a local vineyard was perfect. Definitely would recommend and go again.

Great food, great service. The bench seats round the perimeter of the room are definitely better than the seats/tables in the middle

We had a spectacular meal at Etch - living up to its considerable reputation. It was a lovely touch to have Steven Edwards himself serving and presenting many of the dishes. We'll definitely be back to enjoy another special evening with the team at Etch. Thanks for a wonderful evening.
