Bread is amazing. Shrimp and grits were great. I ordered moms crab cake with mashed potatoes. I Had some juice at the bottom like that juice in the crab shell and that’s what it tasted like. The mashed potatoes were sweet. When the waitress asked, I told her. The chef/owner came up and walked up on on me out of nowhere. Asked me how he could make it better. I was a little confused and taken aback. He asked what do you want. I’m like idk. He took the plate said,”Well, tried to make it right” and left. Ruined my whole night. Didn’t give me a moment to think. 2 Fast 2 Furious No food for me. Waitress was great though.

We went for Valentine’s Day dinner. While I’d not call the restaurant romantic; I’d say it’s one of the best values in Bmore. The food from our appetizers of Bacon wrapped Scallops and Shrimp and Grits to our mains (Jambalaya and a Hot Stack Cstfish) were both amazing. Large portions with lots of Andouille Sausage and Seafood in the Jambalaya. The portions were enough for three meals. We added the Cornbread and it was worth it. Desserts we delish. The had their take on bread pudding and their chocolate silk pie. Both were worth it. All that plus a drink each and the bill was less than $165 before tip.

First time dining here. Service was great. Ordered the double crabcake. All lump, no filler, tasty but too many shells. It seemed I was picking one out with almost every bite. Sides weren't hot. Delicious lemon drop. My fiance enjoyed his catfish meal. They were sold out of the rockfish, which is what I wanted to order. However, we will go back and give them another try.

The place was nice & intimate. But the food I had way too many spices and different flavors going on that didn’t mesh well. The wait staff was great and the music selection was nice as well.

Excellent Creole food in a clean, quiet somewhat intimate atmosphere. So enjoyable to have a great dinner and be able to have a comfortable conversation without having to shout,

The crab mac and cheese special was superb. The jambalaya was also great with spicy sausage and six perfect shrimp. The portions were big enough that we took half of our meals home. The wine list is short, but it covers most of the bases. The staff, including the owner/chef, were pleasant and attentive. All in all, an A plus meal in the heart of Mt. Washington.
