We hadn’t been to Famoso for a while and the first thing we noticed in the Westhills location was that the space looked really beat up. The benches were completely worn out/tears in the vinyl. I could see the staff running around cleaning tables to get the next people seated but the things sitting on the table like condiments and meal specials looked sticky and very used. I enjoyed the food but wouldn’t go back because of the feel of the place.

Smelly. Untidy and “sticky”. No light at the bathroom entry. Food was very average and arrived very late due to take out orders priority.

It was a pretty quiet night but there must have been a lot of mobile orders because it took over an hour to get our food. When it came our pizza was burnt. It was the modern thick style pizza and honestly it was just gross - soggy inside, not a great flavour and burnt top and crust. They said that because the oven was so hot it needed to stay in there longer resulting in the burnt crust and toppings but that it was fine. It was not but they kept us waiting so long we were starving and didn’t have time to start all over again. It was a pretty terrible experience and I don’t feel like I would spin the dice again.

I used to enjoy this place but this experience was awful. Firstly, we had a reservation which the hostess/server seemed surprised about and then just said, why don’t you sit there and pointed to a table. The table and menus were sticky, it was pretty gross. The server seemed to be untrained and left us sitting for a very long time before getting our drink order. When they came, the pop was flat and there were maybe 4 ice cubes in it. Instead of handing it to each person, she placed them all at the end of the table. The restaurant wasn’t busy but it took a long time to order our food and then get it. We asked for boxes for left orders and ordered gelato for dessert. We were still sitting with all the dirty dishes when they brought us the gelato in disposable cups. I actually had to call her back to ask her to take away all the dirty dishes so we could could have room to eat our dessert. The noise levels were disturbing in there as the music was too loud and despite the many empty tables they placed another birthday party right beside ours. It made no logical sense and was difficult to talk. I used to love coming here and now I’m considering ever going back. Very disappointing.
