Farmshop Marin is Jeff Cerciello’s second outpost which opened in 2013 in the heart of the Marin Country Mart in Larkspur. It follows in the footsteps of Farmshop Los Angeles, the acclaimed restaurant and artisan market that opened in the Brentwood Country Mart in 2010. Farmshop Marin features pristine California-centric ingredients and refined yet comforting dishes.
The impressive 6,500 sq foot space features a comfortable and elegant dining room, outdoor patio, expansive full-bar area seating 50 people, lounge, private dining room seating 60, and an open-hearth wood-burning oven and grill. A gathering space for Marin locals & ferry commuters, the restaurant offers the impeccably-sourced, seasonal California fare Farmshop has come to be known for, with additional pizza, fish and meats fresh from the wood-burning oven and grill.

Please note that reservation of 7 or more require a credit card. Cards will be charged $25 per guest for parties that do not arrive for their reservation.

Lovely lunch at Farmshop. Food and service were very good. Noise level a bit loud (we were seated out on the enclosed patio) but once the lunch crowd left it was perfect, lol.

Great service and a nice setting. But, 3 of us ordered pizzas and not a one found the crust tasty. It was soggy and droopy. The toppings were good, though! We sat on the patio which at 12:30 on a work day and it was very noisy. Glad to say that by 1:00 or so it had significantly quieted down sufficient for conversation at our large round table.

The food was blah at best for lunch. I had the steak. It was chewy and under seasoned. There was not much dressing on the greens. The olivade's taste was off putting. Just not good. Service was excellent as usual. Not sure I will be coming back.

In a word: rip-off. This restaurant gives the minimum for the maximum prices. Cocktails are $18 and up, mind you this is a suburban shopping center restaurant, not the Mark Hopkins. Wine ranged from $16 to $20+ a glass, these aren’t huge servings and the wine wasn’t anything special, your typical $15 bottle at a market. Even beer was pricy and even then I suspect their pints are a couple oz short. Food wasn’t much better. Pizza is the best for quantity but quality was so so. Tomato pizza had a soggy crust. The entrees were ok quality but surprisingly small in quantities. They don’t even provide bread for the table unless you purchase it! I guess they want you to buy more sides to fill yourself up but these are likewise overpriced. It’s clearly a trendy spot for a youngish crowd but it’s extremely noisy. Maybe if you’re in your 20s you don’t know when you’re being robbed? In any event holding a conversation was difficult due to the noise level. There are far far better choices even near by. This restaurant seems to focus on looking trendy so they can extract the maximum from your wallet and give you as little as they can get away with.

Such a lovely afternoon lunch. The salmon, avocado hummus, and the mint chip profiteroles were perfectly prepared and so flavorful. Service was top notch too. Thank you!
