   The food was amazing… the squash appetizer and shrimp avocado pineapple appetizer were both amazing. The service was outstanding! We will definitely make this a repeat restaurant to visit.

   Fern Street is our number one spot for date night and has been for many years. They never disappoint and Valentine’s Day proved to be no different. Food was excellent, ambience was excellent, and the overall service was excellent . Our compliments to the chef, the kitchen, the bar, the servers, the manager, Code, co-owner Nick and the entire staff!!!

   My wife and I decided to celebrate Valentine's Day at this restaurant, opting for the prefixed menu. We were seated near the kitchen, bar, and hostess stand, which gave us a front-row seat to the action. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the kind of action we were hoping for. From the moment we arrived, the service was extremely slow. It took nearly 10 minutes for our waitress to greet us and bring us water, which set the tone for the evening. We soon realized that our waitress was also the bartender, so it took a significant amount of time just to get our drink and food orders in. What really detracted from the experience was the loud commotion coming from the kitchen — staff were yelling back and forth throughout the night. While we understand restaurants can get busy, it was hard to have table conversation. As for the food, it was disappointing. 2/3 of Our appetizers were tasty— I wanted to send one back, but with the slow service and no one checking in on us, I didn’t bother. The entrees were disappointing, slow to arrive and came out lukewarm. Portions were very small for the $95 per person price tag. The best thing we had were the dozen raw oysters which was an additional $48. We also witnessed several guests leave after being seated and waiting without having their orders taken, which is never a good sign. While I understand the challenges of a busy holiday evening, the lack of attention to detail, delayed service, and chaotic atmosphere left much to be desired. Sadly, we won’t be returning anytime soon.

   I get the prefixed menu for a special occasion, but it was all beef… one fish option. We normally love it here, but it was a little disappointing. Also, what’s with all the country music?! Doesn’t match the aesthetic of the place, vibes, or the food.

   We visited for the first time on Valentine’s Day. There was a prepared menu that we picked from. Everything that we tasted was very good & we both had a good time. I would definitely recommend!

   Valentines diner was excellent...everything was well presented and perfectly prepared. You could taste the freshness of the local ingredients. We sat at the kitchen counter and watched as everything was prepared and plated, definitely the best seats in the restaurant for foodies.

   Love the menu options, including the mocktails. Our waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu and how the food was prepared. She was also very kind. I wish I remembered her name. As well as the additional server (a gentleman) that assisted with bringing out our dishes. The only negative in our experience is that the manager went out of his way to say hello/greet guests at a table furthest away from the entrance of the restaurant, where we were sitting, walking right past us with no acknowledgement, even when he had an additional opportunity to do so when helping to set up another table for incoming guests. Just didn't sit right with us as we were the only other patrons occupying a table at the time. It takes more energy to ignore paying customers than a quick smile, hello, or head nod.

   Dinner at Fern was delicious! I had been there previously for “flights and bites” happy hour - also recommend - but going for dinner was even better! We started with a few small plates, the squash blossoms were stuffed and perfectly crispy! (And the honeycomb on the side just enhanced the light spice from the jalapeño) For dinner, my husband had the Red Sea Bass with a pesto risotto- his only criticism as he devoured it was he wanted even more of the delicious roasted tomatoes for a pop of acidity :) I had the short ribs with Japanese sweet potato mash… perfection! (And I have no idea why I was given a knife at all, it all just melted in the mouth!) we managed to also try the key lime coconut cake - like the best key lime pie ever! And all of this on Wine Wednesday so we splurged on a pricier bottle - because it was half off! The server was sweet and knowledgeable and overall a great experience!

    The food was delicious, fresh and beautiful. The staff was very efficient and gracious . We really enjoyed everything— food, atmosphere and staff are all top notch.
