Field & Tides, located in Houston’s historic Heights neighborhood features an open canvas menu that reflects Executive Chef Travis Lenig’s culinary experiences. Chef Lenig’s roots stem from his love for many different types of cuisine such as Southern, Italian, French and Asian. “Field” is represented by locally sourced vegetables, pork, poultry, beef and game, while “Tides” is seafood that is locally sourced as well, with an emphasis on the Gulf. Softshell crab sandwich was delicious! Was expecting a few more oysters to be in the Oysters and Brussels appetizer. Great service as well.

Great place, service, and ambiance. Apps were great. Main dishes werevery good but felt pricey for what we had. Drinks for supremacy, but that’s everywhere now. We’ll def be back.

An amazing neighborhood treat! This hidden gem provided an incredible array of options. With a table of five…we only had one repeat order! The blood orange mimosas were only topped by the great service. Put this one in your regular rotation.

Four of us came in for lunch and sat at the bar. The bartender, Micah, was great. Very attentive, friendly and offered great suggestions for both food and drinks. We all really enjoyed our food (two got burgers and two got the tomato crab stack). Tomato crab stack was a great salad. Plenty of crab, nice warm fried green tomatoes that weren't greasy and really high quality arugula that wasn't over-dressed. We would all return again as we had a great time all around.
