   Well, they tried. The food was very good. I will do takeout. The waiter was new, the bartender was not much caliber. I’m sure this is what you get on Weds night at 8:30pm for dinner. The waiter really tried but he was just so green. They were out of Angels Envy so to make up for it they just dumped more syrup in my old fashioned. Cmon! Just say ur out! Insulting. Did I mention that the gumbo was really good?

   Absolutely amazing. After reading the menu, I had high expectations for our first visit. We were not disappointed. The food and service were incredible and we left full and happy!

   This was my third time eating there and I am sure that there’ll be more! Stacy is a spectacular server with a magnificent voice! Going. To have birthday there so she can sing Happy Birthday,

   We liked the authentic New Orleans-inspired menu, and the service was good overall. What we did not appreciate, however, was the 3.5% "facilities charge;" we asked our server exactly what this was for, and he explained that it's been standard since the pandemic. That was 5 years ago - why does this still exist? It seems like an obnoxious rip off, frankly. If you've raised your prices, then just be honest about it rather than adding such a ridiculous fee. Much more high-end restaurants don't have this, so why does File? For that reason alone, we would not return.

   Menu has all the New Orleans specialties you are looking for. I have to go back to eat all the ones we didn’t get to order. Service was excellent and attentive. Convenient location, comfortable and refined setting and many happy patrons. So happy to have a solid New Orleans standout in NYC!

   Went for lunch with my co-workers. Enjoyed everything about our meal from the collard green & blackeye pea succotash , crawfish bread to Tiny’s gumbo! Ended our lunch with the chocolate cake that was so good it made me want more!!

    The gumbo was prepared right in front of us ( booked at the bar), the drinks were lovely and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Everything was wonderful, thank you!
