   We booked a table for Saturday night at 6.30pm, we arrived about 10 mins early and was shown to our table immediately. we were offered their standard menu or a special set menu (with choices) as it was Burns Night (25th Jan). We both decided on the Burns Night menu, the food was excellent and the service was first class. Of particular note was the "Lamb Rump" it was cooked rare and it was just so tender and tasted amazing!

   First time in the Filly Inn today - food was incredible! Beautiful location and friendly staff too. We will be back…very soon!

   Lovely place, definitely be back soon. Food was delicious and a good choice of proper food and nice kids menu too. Lovely outside space so will be back in the summer if not before

   The food was excellent, with my steak cooked exactly as requested and my wife's requirement that she could not have food cooked in butter was accommodated without question. The service was quick and very friendly. The cost was very reasonable.

   Never good eating anywhere New Year’s eve, even lunchtime. As we sat down we were told we only had an hour and a half, so we’d better hurry up! I chose to ignore this as should have been informed at booking and there were 8 of us. However, this waiter continued to be surly, rude and impatient for the entire meal. Infact, the bar staff were equally as miserable Food was ok though

   I would like to write a more positive review however the food here was average at best. The Calamari starter was too salty. The Belly of Pork meal wasn’t hot enough. The Shephards pie had a mix of minced lamb and pieces of lamb, the flavour was good but not what I was expecting. Overall the food didn’t meet our expectations. The pub is dog friendly which is nice for dog owners but it shows on the carpets as they are very stained. A lot of pubs and restaurants now add a 12.5% service charge which makes it hard to request to remove this. Although the service was good on this occasion it’s annoying when an establishment does this. We won’t be returning.

   Lovely food and service, dogs made very welcome. Starter and main courses lovely. We had leek soup, I had the goats cheese pasta. Then a shepherd's pie with veg and I had the steak and ale pie. All very filling and good value.

   The Filly Inn is a lovely Hotel/Pub. The food is high quality with a small but varied menu. We dined at the restaurant for three nights in December. The service was very kind and attentive, especially from the outstanding Ella. The gentleman who appeared to be the restaurant manager was, alas, disinterested. Despite this, I’d recommend The Filly Inn as an excellent choice for a quality meal in the New Forest, Hampshire.

    Little disappointed with the quality of the food. Yes, i except it was Boxing Day, but we pre ordered our selection. Not much of an Xmas feel to it at all! X The carpet in the dining room, looked like it had been there for a number of years. Xmas crackers were cheap! Wouldn’t recommend it unless you were desperate.
