   A welcome addition to the River Towns. The food was surprisingly delicious. Loved the wine list. Look forward to returning.

   Our recent dining experience at Finnbar was thoroughly enjoyable! The place retains much of the charm we enjoyed during our first visit to the Frenchtown Inn 40 years ago on our way home from our honeymoon (as well as some other anniversaries along the journey), but more recent renovations have brought very tasteful updates to the space. The menu offerings, while limited, were very unique and interesting, prepared with fresh, flavorful ingredients, and artfully plated. The service we received from the pleasant and attentive staff was excellent, providing just the right cadence for a superb, enjoyable dining experience. We’d like to return again (before another anniversary comes around) to sample some new menu creations. No doubt, it will be worth the trip!

   First time diner with nothing bad to say about Finnbar; I just don’t think it was our scene. The location and building are great and we had no issues with parking. Our Server seemed a bit stretched thin and I sat with an empty glass for awhile (pet peeve). The food was good, but turned out to not be my taste. Entree options were limited to 4 and the only protein options were chicken and lamb with lots of Ingredients I’d never heard of. There was a really loud larger group seated next to us which wasn’t great and the music was a bit odd (techno-ish). I’m glad we went but I think this was a bit too hip for us. I was expecting something a bit more traditional.

   Finnbar is an exceptional restaurant. There is plenty of room between tables so you feel you have privacy. The staff is top notch! Melanie gave us time to talk and decide our choices, but was friendly and personable too. The food was fabulous! There were no bad choices.
