   Love this place but tonight - sadly - wasn’t as good as usual. Waited a very long time and the food was as delicious as we expect. But we will be back

   Unfortunately, didn't feel a warm welcome on entering like others I noticed received that came through the door and no one seemed interested to seat us until I had to ask the person behind the bar about our reservation. Manageress didn't seem impressed and rolled her eyes when we sent back a Malbec that tasted very sour and said its pointless opening another bottle for my wife because it was probably that she just didn't like the type of Malbec. I've never tasted a sour Malbec before. The manageress offered a flower to all the mothers on Mothers Day on leaving the restaurant except my wife, probably because we sent the Malbec back. Its a shame though, the food was fairly decent and our waitress was really nice though. Managerial staff might need an attitude change.

   Fantastic staff and fantastic food!! Recommend the goats cheese starter and the kent lamb scotch egg was a dream!

   Lovely atmosphere the pub has a real traditional feeling about it very welcoming and the food was great value for money as well as very nice . Staff were very friendly and attentive 👌🏻

   Lovely setting, fantastic attentive and friendly service, delicious food and amazing value. Met friends and they said it was up there as one of their best roasts!

   The five bells is a beautiful country pub, well worth a visit for a pint or pub lunch, however, the wine dinner I booked as a birthday treat was not great. The experience lacked fun, I would return to the pub for a drink or to try another event.

   As always a proper English pub of great character, excellent service and good food. On a Tuesday night it was a little quiet but still very enjoyable.
