   I ordered the fried chicken 2 wings and chicken breast red beans and rice and yams. Truly delicious. Could not eat it all. I will have late night snack later This was my 3rd trip will return for more.

   This is one of my favorite restaurants when I am in the downtown LA area. The food has never disappointed me. It’s that comfort type food you get from grandma. Service has always been good and good music playing in the background.

   I love Fixins and come here all the time I don’t know maybe last night was a off night or something but the food was horrible. We kept having to send things back. Things were coming out wrong and or raw. No hard feelings.

   Overall great experience. We were seated immediately, friendly host and server, food was delicious. Our party of 3 enjoyed everything we tasted; fried chicken, fish, and all the sides.

   Delicious food and wonderful atmosphere! We had the fish sandwich with side salad! Robust side salad with caesar dressing- yesss! A fish platter with mac n cheese and greens and hushpuppies was sooo good! The oxtails were delectable, too!

    Our recent family outing to Fixin’s Soul Kitchen was enjoyable overall, though it had its ups and downs. Starting with the positives, the food arrived in a decent amount of time, and the waitress did an excellent job ensuring our experience was smooth. She quickly addressed an issue with one of our items, which was much appreciated. The energy in the restaurant was lively, and I liked that reservations were required—it made the process of getting seated feel more organized. On the downside, the location isn’t ideal. Being downtown, parking is a nightmare—scarce and expensive, with fees of $20 or more. Compared to the Fixin’s in Sacramento, this location felt a bit tighter in terms of seating. While the atmosphere was fun and energetic, the noise level was pretty high, which might not be for everyone. I also missed the kool-aid ice cubes that the Sacramento location offers, a unique touch that adds charm. Lastly, the portion sizes were modest, consistent with what I’ve come to expect from Fixin’s. While they aren’t overly generous, the food quality does make up for it. Overall, Fixin’s delivered a good experience, but some aspects, like parking and the seating layout, could be improved. It’s worth a visit if you’re in the mood for flavorful Southern cuisine and don’t mind a bit of hustle to get there.
