   Decided to finally try Flame + Smith after seeing it on so many drives through PEC and WOW!!! It absolutely blew me away. Food is a 10/10. Drinks are 10/10. And all the staff is beyond friendly and helpful. Best birthday meal a girl could have asked for ❤️

   Last night’s NYE tasting menu wasn’t just dinner—it was a revelation. Six courses of perfection, paired with wines that could charm the most jaded palate. My girlfriend, usually hesitant with adventurous eats, declared the foie gras and pork belly her favorite (a plot twist I didn’t see coming!). Every dish was a love letter to flavor. This morning, as we drove past on the way to brunch, we wished they were open—because honestly, one meal wasn’t enough. A dining experience that lingers long after the plates are cleared. Bravo! To all the staff, Al (our server) was exceptional and attentive to our every need (even to the smallest detail, my GF had gum in her mouth when we sat down so Al had preemptively brought a small paper napkin for her to dispose of it). We will definitely be coming again!

   Greeted warmly by the oyster shucker, escorted by our dutiful server to the table where, unexpectedly, neighbours were seated. We were dined and wined to our complete satisfaction. Our server, having overheard a remark from our friend, presented us with complimentary glasses of “bubbly” to celebrate our anniversary. The service was excellent and we enjoyed our salad, main and dessert courses as they arrived in a timely fashion. The presentation was impeccable. We departed sated and happy and will return. Our only negative impression was the recorded music playing. The content was banal and the level varied throughout the evening, causing the volume of conversation to rise and fall accordingly, so talking with each other was sometimes difficult. Musicians, perhaps, could judge the room requirements, but why is music necessary? We gather to enjoy the company of each other, not to listen to an automated playlist.

   Chef’s choice was great and very filling. Our main was the tomahawk steak. I enjoy my steak rare so it could have been a little less cooked it came out med-rare. I didn’t specify so that’s on me. overall I enjoyed the relaxed no rush atmosphere and will definitely return and am looking forward to trying all the dishes. The homemade sourdough bread was so good we ordered extra. Next time I will take extra home so I can enjoy the dessert more.

    My partner and I shared five appetizers as our meal and everything was tasty and brought out in a manner that the dishes complemented each other and were well paced.
