Welcome to Food with Varinder! I cook for you the way I cook for friends and family when they visit my home. The menu is varied, indulgent, comforting and surprising. I also never give my guests a choice in what I make. I decide everything and make sure the taste, flavour and texture combinations work together. However, if you have any food intolerances or follow particular diets, please let me know when you reserve your table – by filling in the comments box. I will always do my best to make sure everyone enjoys everything!

    Great restaurant! I've never been to a restaurant where I felt more welcome... it's like a soft blanket :-) The food is delicious too!

    I loved everything about this place. The kitchen prepares a set menu for the day for all the guests, so the meal is a surprise. When all the dishes were placed on the table, the host took time to explain each dish. This was the best meal I had in Leuven! Everything was so tasty and the host was so kind to offer me more of whatever I liked. If you are looking for a vegetarian restaurant with excellent food, ambience, friendly hosts, this is the place to visit!

    Food with Varinder is a unique experience that is created by a combination of special factors: - The Menu: you get what Varinder has cooked and it's vegetarian - The ongoing interaction either with Varinder or her husband: especially the food explanations - The decor, which creates a sense of genuinely being entertained in someone's home We've become Flexitarians (occasional meat eaters) these past few years. So, we're not strict vegetarians. Whether you're vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, flexitarian or a full-blown carnivore treat yourself to some wonderful flavours at Food with Varinder!

    Food with Varinder was a fine dining experience. Went there on two separate occasions within the span of 10 days. They are certainly practicing unreasonable hospitality.

    Hi Praveen and thanks for your wonderful review. In answer to your question, no this isn’t seasonal. We change our dishes more or less daily depending on what we ourselves would feel like eating that evening. No advanced planning, but we invariably do choose ingredients that are at their best for the time of year. Thanks again and see you soon!

    The setting is very cosy, personal touches here and there which makes the experience complete. Whenever I am in Belgium visiting my family, this is my favorite restaurant. The food served in several bowls is delicious!

    First time at food with varinder but I will be back! The menu is a surprise but everything tasted amazing! Water is on the house. One of the rare places I know that still does that! One of my new favourites in Leuven!

    Heerlijk gegeten bij Varinder, mooie presentatie met een variëteit aan smaken. Heerlijke wijn en erg vriendelijk personeel. We gaan zeker terug naar Leuven en ook naar dit heerlijke adres

    Food with Varinder is not only "family food" served at your table. You feel "at home" from the beginning to the end of the experience, from the nameboard securing your table, the mood and atmosphere are cozy and the whole team is very welcoming. As for the dinner itself it was simply delicious and full of flavours ! We are definitely repeating the experience for our future "family meetings" ! Fantastic place, highly recommend it.
