   Had heard very good reports but were quite disappointed. Saw afterwards from others that it has gone down in quality, maybe since a change in ownership? Need to improve service

   Went out as a group of four to celebrate my brother in-laws birthday and cannot fault anything. Staff were warm and welcoming, service was great, food was delicious and plentiful, music and ambiance were excellent. A lovely and relaxed evening was had by all, no sense that they were trying to rush you out the door- we were the last customers to leave. Will definitely return.

   Disappointed with our meal at Forage and Chatter as it was not up to the usual standard. Service was poor and food was very average. Lack of knowledge on allergies (nut and gluten) and overall a frustrating and underwhelming experience. After eating we looked up and realised there has been a change of management - this explains things. We will not be back as the standard of food and service no longer merits the price. A shame as this was our favourite place to eat.

   Outstanding food, service, and wines. We visit here every time we’re up in Edinburgh. A hidden secret that’s not to be missed. Can’t recommend highly enough!

   Restaurant is small place, below street level just off street corner so easy to miss. Good service but slow. We ordered dessert took too long to wait, so we canceled. The food okay but nothing extraordinary. The staff is kind. FYI - a $35 Euro hold per person required for reservation, and charges apply if you cannot make it.

    Short menu but food was excellent, very friendly staff. Small with good background music, a most enjoyable experience all round.
