   Really nice looking resturant and staff were friendly and attentive. Great tasting food but unfortunately some of it was cold on serving. Equally the desserts left a little to be desired but on the whole was a good experience. Shame due to some of the clientelle and the time their were some more innebriated guests which threw the ambience a little but I understand its a saturday night and you need bums on seats.

   What an amazing restaurant!! We were lucky enough to get a table as we were staying at the hotel - so glad we did. The menu choice was great and varied and our meals were delicious. My husband had the steak and said it was the best he’s had ( and he’s visited a lot of restaurants!) . Very reasonably priced for the quality of food . The hardest thing was what to chose as all the food looked great

   Been to York numerous times over the years ,but this was my first visit to Forest . It won't be my last , really enjoyed it.

   This is a lovely (almost hidden) gem of a place in the centre of York. The food is excellent and the service is spot on.

   The staff were brilliant, service was fast, however we had 2 burgers and were average. Can’t comment on the other food on the menu but really enjoyed the starter!!

   First visit! Superb, quirky restaurant. Food was amazing! Really friendly staff providing excellent service. Attracted customers of all ages, which is lovely to see. Pet friendly area too!
