   Disappointing Experience Despite Great Food I had high expectations for Fortu but left disappointed after my recent visit. I made a 9:15 PM reservation, but upon arriving, we were rushed to order because the kitchen was closing. If you’re going to offer late reservations, customers shouldn’t feel pressured to make hasty decisions, especially at these price points. I also noted in my reservation that it was my partner’s birthday and was told they had a special birthday dessert that’s not on the menu. I was expecting a thoughtful surprise, but instead, the server came to the table asking what dessert we wanted—completely ruining the moment. I ordered the cheesecake, and to my dismay, it didn’t even come with a candle. The entire experience lacked the personal touch I had hoped for, making the celebration feel underwhelming. It seemed like the host never communicated with the server about our special occasion. Additionally, while the food itself was incredible, the execution missed the mark. We ordered the ribeye Wagyu steak, advertised as 14 ounces, but there’s no way the portion we received was that size. We also requested it medium-rare, but it came out medium—normally I wouldn’t mind, but for an $80+ steak, expectations are higher. For a $280 dinner for two, I anticipated a flawless experience, but instead, I left feeling let down. While the food is excellent, the lack of attention to detail and service left a sour taste in my mouth. Not sure I’d return, especially for a special occasion.

   While cold days dont exist too often in FL, claiming your patio is heated was realistically not true. It was pretty cold last night, in the 50s and the “heaters provided no warmth” They only have a few of them outside and they are placed way too high above the table for you to feel it. Not impressed with the patio for a high priced established. The cold ruined the experience.

   Second time here. When we have an amazing dining experience we always worry the next time may not live up to the first experience. In this case it 100% did. It was just as amazing the second time as it was the first. The $75 Prix Fixe was perfect! My wife wanted to lick the cream corn bowl it was so good and I think I could have eaten 10 plates of the Tempura Shrimp.

   Our dining experience at Fortu last night was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the ambiance—great lighting, comfortable chairs, and an overall inviting atmosphere that set the perfect tone for the evening. The drinks were excellent, each crafted to perfection, and a wonderful start to our meal. As for the food, it was incredible. We sampled several appetizers, each one bursting with flavor and showcasing the chef’s talent. The entrees were equally impressive—my steak was cooked to absolute perfection, tender, juicy, and full of flavor. My wife had the fried rice and orange chicken, both of which were outstanding. The dessert was the perfect finale to an already remarkable meal. The Ube cheesecake was a standout—it was one of the best cheesecakes I’ve had in a long time, smooth, rich, and with a unique twist. Given the level of excellence in both the food and service, I wouldn’t be surprised if Fortu were nominated for a Michelin star in the near future. We will absolutely be returning to experience this culinary gem again

   Beautiful experience, my mother and I had a great time. The food and service was superb, and compliments to chef Rob for making such great meals for us.

   Great restaurant for date night! Wonderful service and ambience! The food was good. I ordered the scallops. They were good but on the small side and my date ordered sea bass but they had substituted cod which wasn’t quite as good. Overall the food was good! Tuna appetizer and salad was excellent!

   We had a wonderful experience at Fortu. The first course wasn’t quite what we expected, but the main course, desserts and drinks were all wonderful! Our waiter was very kind and helpful and we really appreciated the attention he paid to us.

   Wow! Every drink and food item we had was exceptional. This place reminded me of food and service we get when we go to Vegas. I had the prefix because I wanted to try different things and it didn’t disappoint. I wish I remembered then names of the items. Main course was wagyu ribeye and it was cooked to perfection. Perfectly tender. My husband had the same ribeye and a sweet potato. The sweet potato was amazing, it had a great sauce and seasonings. I had a bubbly drink with Prosecco and it was fruity and delicious. My dessert was a ube cheesecake and it was perfection! I highly recommend coming here for a wonderful dinner.

    We recently celebrated our friends engagement at Fortu with a group of 6 close friends, and the experience was nothing short of incredible! The restaurants ambiance was perfect for the occasion- chic yet intimate, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that felt both upscale and relaxed. The service was impeccable from start to finish with a keen awareness of a few allergies. Our server Alison was attentive, friendly and made us feel that it was a special evening for the newly engaged couple. We will definitely return!
