   The overall ambiance and service were great, but the food fell very short of what I expected from a higher-end restaurant. For the appetizer, we had the Texas cornbread. Presented well enough, but it was way too dry; it crumbled when grabbing a bite with a fork...it just disintegrated. The butter that was served with it was pulled straight from the refrigerator, so trying to apply solid butter contributed to the disaster. The flavor was really good, but the whole experience would have been better if it stayed together on a fork. It seemed like day-old leftover bread, reheated. For the main course, I had the chicken-fried veal on the server's recommendation; what a miss-steak. It was overcooked. The "gravy" had good flavor but was way too thin. My wife had a filet (too undercooked, dark red center when ordering medium). The mashed potatoes were very tasty. And the house steak sauce served with the filet had great flavor. The mac-n-cheese was unremarkable and we left almost all of it in the serving dish. The cocktail selection was great and delivered on potential. We won't be dining here again. A bit too pricey when I could have had better chicken-fried steak at Jim's Diner.

   All dishes were great, service was spot on. The desert special sticky toffee pineapple upside down cake was amazing.

   More of an upscale eloquent dining experience, but you did not need to be formally dressed per se. The view over the river walk was very nice addition to the ambience of the restaurant. Food was good, but the service made the experience better. The cornbread and quail on a stick was immaculate.

   This was my 3rd visit to the restaurant. Once for brunch and twice now for dinner. I would highly recommend for both! The locations is inviting and right on the river. The service is top notch and the food is incredible! Come hungry because the servings are generous. Within our group we have had all of the following and would recommend: Appetizers: Chicken fried quail on a stick (comes with 3) and the cornbread Main Dishes: Filet mignon, the scallops, chicken fried venison and the burger Deserts: Key lime creme brulee Drinks: The lavender drink (I believe with gin) the Brown Derby old fashioned and the blackberry bourbon smash were all hits Brunch: Avocado toast and the chilaquiles

   It a great please to go and hangout for drinks. It’s very upscale but the prices didn’t match the food I should have only go the salad and the cornbread. It missed on the steak. The steak came to the table beautiful but lacked favor. It’s not a bad place but maybe it is just not for me.

   The restaurant was understaffed and struggled to explain to walk-ins that priority was for hotel guests. Reservations via OpenTable were not suggested to those who inquired. Guests walked in unsure where to go. It wasn’t clear were the host stand was. Hosts sounded either rude or incompetent in explaining why the wait was so long despite so many open seats. People understand how hard it can be to conduct business without sufficient staff. Food wasn’t terrible but it isn’t something I would return for and I would advise others not to bother. Staff was so busy I imagine that is why suggestions for sides were not made. If anyone can ever do anything about kids watching screens without headphones, that would be a luxury these days.

   Service great, food was ok. For a $68 steak, I would go to a more reputable steak house. Chicken dinner highly recommended and the cornbread app.

   Great and attentive service. I was seated immediately. Perfect low romantic lighting The tables were spaced just far enough apart to have a private conversation if necessary. The old fashion was strong but in a “this is a real old fashion” way. The macaroni and cheese’ texture was the perfect medley of slight crunch and velvety cheesy. The salmon was rather small but very flavorful and cooked perfectly. I will be back.
