    After a December trip to NYC and a visit to the original F&F Pizzeria, I knew where I had to go when visiting Nashville in January - Frankie's 925 Spuntino - their newish outpost in the Music City! Stopped in for lunch on a chilly afternoon, service was fast and friendly, and the 3 plates I enjoyed were all delicious. Meatball Park sub in particular was killer. Please see photos for more details - including the adjacent Pizzeria and the adjacent "provisions" shop.

    Little bit of a drive from the West side, but if you live on the East side of the city, it should be a regular visit.

    Frankie’s is so great. The food is fantastic. The cocktails are delicious. The pizza next door is the best in Nashville. And drum roll please….the prunes and mascarpone dessert is my favorite dessert of all time! Mic drop!

    The menu offered a number of unusual options. One of our party tried the ravioli with sweet potato filing and thought it was good. I had the pasta with lamb Ragu and while the lamb was good the sauce was overpowering—something subtler that let the lamb itself stand out would have been better. The one thing we all agreed was excellent was the Caesar salad. The romaine was fresh and delicious, as was the dressing and we liked the generous helping of Parmesan. The more traditional pasta dishes tried by our party were good but not exceptional. Our server was very good—personable and efficient. The music was very loud and he nicely turned the volume down on the speakers nearest us.
