Solid neighborhood place, all ages and occasions celebrated equally. Would love to see more vegan choices on the menu (and I'm not vegan.)

Wendl, Thank you for taking the time to review French Roast. Unfortunately French food doesn't naturally lend itself to a Vegan diet, with all the butter and dairy used. However there are some vegan options on our menu and some dishes can be tweaked and made vegan by removing or substituting items

Over the last few years I've felt that French Roast was losing its old charm. The menu had gotten smaller and wasn't seasonal, and the staff seemed disengagied. It's turned a new page- very attentive service, broader menu, and a step up in food quality. The only downside is, the prices increased accordingly. But it will stay on my list for a "special" dinner and good to know that an old favorite is back on its game!

Did not feel rushed which was very much appreciated during the busy Sunday brunch time. Staff were attentive but not intrusive.
