Freya is a multi-course dinner restaurant focused on executing the points of service at upper echelon restaurants in larger markets while ditching the pomp and circumstance traditions that make regular people feel out of place. The last several years have been extremely challenging for most people. We feel strongly that great food, great drinks, and great hospitality are things everyone deserves. Especially you.

We offer a multi course menu and can accommodate the following diets: Omnivore (no dietary restrictions), Pescatarian (vegetarian + seafood), or vegan (no animal products used). With notice, we’re also able to modify many items to be gluten-free. Freya is a multi-course dinner restaurant focused on executing the points service at upper echelon restaurants in larger markets while ditching the pomp & circumstance traditions that make regular people feel out of place. We offer a 5 course menu for $95 per person and can accommodate the following diets: Omnivore (no dietary restrictions), Pescatarian (vegetarian + seafood), or vegan (no animal products used). With notice, we’re also able to modify many items to be gluten-free. We respectfully ask that further modification requests only be made in cases of serious allergies; we may not be able to accommodate certain dietary restrictions. Ala carte dining is available by request Tuesday through Thursday only.
Freya Grand Tasting
Multiple dates available
A $155 per person omnivore-only set 9 course dining experience w/quality ingredients grown in and around Detroit. The grand tasting CANNOT be modified to accommodate ANY allergies or restrictions. A typical grand tasting lasts about 3 hrs, depending on party size. Late cancellations/no-shows are devastating; guests must provide at least 48 hrs notice in the case of a cancellation/rescheduling. If a reservation is cancelled under 48 hrs from reservation time, regardleess of the reason for cancelling. The Freya Grand Tasting is currently priced at $155 per person. If you are more than 15 minutes late, your meal may be shortened/canceled. Please don't reserve until you're sure you can come!

We respectfully request that in cases when we have reservations booked for the table you're occupying later in the evening, groups limit their dining time- 1.5 hours for groups of two, 2 hours for groups of three or four, and 2.5 hours for larger groups.

Love Freya and have been several time with friends. First time doing grand tasting menu with pairings and was overall pretty disappointed. Servers were not at all familiar with wine pairings/explanations which is expected at this price point. Courses were extremely slow to come out with wine poured way too early. Server actually forgot a course and my wife had to remind him to bring it. Advertised as 9- courses, however they counted a sorbet course and take home macarons. Of the 7 real courses - only 2 protein. Fish course cold. We left hungry. Felt a little scammed. Unsure if we will return.

While the food is tremendous…my wife and I are truly in love with the service. The service is quietly excellent. Little things…things you don’t expect…but things you start to notice. The staff is phenomenal from the hostess greeting to floor staff. If you want to feel like you are the most important patron at restaurant…go to Freya!

Awesome experience! We had the 9 course Chef's Tasting and purchased the wine flight with dinner. The food was amazing and the pairings were on point - best I've had.

Can’t say enough good things! This was not our first time visiting but it was our first time in a couple of years. The service continues to be impeccable and is only matched by the quality of the food. The presentation was stunning and everything tasted great. I selected items from the menu I wouldn’t normally order or eat because I know it will taste good and it gives me an opportunity to try something new. Everyone from the first person you see when you walk in, to the team of people taking care of you throughout the meal know how to make the meal enjoyable and know how to go the extra mile. 10/10 will be back much sooner this time.

The food is memorable, the service is outstanding, and the environment is enjoyable--one of the best places in Michigan. Everything is inviting and clean. This is the place if you love food and like watching professionals at the top of their craft.

Freya is a serious dining experience. I expect that most people order the five course tasting menu (which additionally includes excellent bread, flavored butter, and a complex salad of local produce) although a nine course tasting menu and some ala carte ordering is also available. The sommelier is quite helpful and the entire staff is very friendly and makes you feel at home... except for the high level of the cuisine. The atmosphere is informal which is a deliberate attempt by the chef to be able to provide a high level dining experience at a more reasonable cost. The menu changes frequently, which attests to the skill of the chef. If you appreciate truly well prepared and interesting food, you will like Freya. If you are looking for a piece of steak or slab of salmon accompanied by a few stalks of asparagus, this is not the place for you.
