We've dined at Frog & Slim several times over three or four years. Every meal over that time was excellent as was the service and cocktails/wine. Last night our party ordered the Grilled New York Steak, the Octopus, the Halibut, and Chicken Confit. Every dish was perfectly cooked and delicious as were the Pumpkin Creme Brulee and Bread Pudding desserts. If you are looking for an upscale dining experience in a relaxed environment, Frog & Slim is a great choice!

This is my third time dining at Frog & Slim and it did not disappoint. Janelle provided excellent service, was very knowledgeable about all the menu items, and attentive without hovering. My friends and I ordered different items (deviled eggs, bruschetta, braised pork shank, artisan lasagne, wagyu burger, pumpkin spice crème brûlée, bread pudding) and everything was delicious. The stand outs for me were the bruschetta with the toasted rye bread and the bread pudding. I will definitely be back!

One of my favorite places in Sac. There’s always at least one specialty cocktail with an unexpected mix of things. The pork shank is one of my comfort dishes. It’s perfect every time. The food was delicious and they really set a classy jazzy vibe! Everyone working there was perfectly attentive and explained the dishes to my friend and I. The owner even stopped by to check and see how we were doing and chatted for a bit. Very welcoming place! I plan on going back very soon.

Loved our brunch! The wait staff interacts with customers as if we are friends and truly interested in us. My daughter and granddaughter ordered the biscuits and gravy and it wasn't like any biscuits and gravy I've ever had! The chef elevated this popular dish to an outstanding treat! I ordered the omelette and the caramelized onions popped! The chef visited our table to check in with us and if we were enjoying our meal. A+. We had a wonderful experience for our birthday celebration!

The ambiance is upscale, modern and classy. We came for weekend Brunch. Janelle was our server and she was so attentive and delightful! My friend ordered the Brioche French toast and a side of chicken sausage. He enjoyed every fluffy, sweet and creamy bite and even shared with me. I was intrigued and also on the fence about ordering the Turkish eggs since I wasn’t familiar with some of the ingredients like Aleppo pepper (used in brown butter sauce) and Duqqa spice. Janelle gushed about the dish and gave me a taste of the Aleppo pepper brown butter to help me make a decision. It was so smooth with a hint of spice. I ended up loving the Turkish eggs. Each bite was so decadent. I also ordered an espresso vodka cocktail and it was perfectly smooth. Highly recommend. Will be back for supper since this place gives serious jazzy supper club vibes.

Everything was great! We got the last table inside and enjoyed every minute. The pork shoulder was everything I imagined it could be—falling off the bone, hearty and delicious. The halibut was so good. Exquisite meal. Outstanding waiter Jack who made the best drink and food recommendations. Bravo Frogs!

The restaurant was almost empty on a Wednesday evening dine (our party and one other). Menu is really intriguing, but they were out of, or low on, a number of items and had to modify my salmon dish. It was still good, as was everything that we tried. Drinks and wine were nice, but last call was wayt too early, and the were not able to even pour another glass of wine after last call. So weird and it will definitely affect my decision of when I go back. Service was great, and it's a cute spot with a 'Jazz" motif. It was/is worth the visit, and I hope they do more business.
