   Pleasant staff but it was obvious that guests not attending the wedding took second place . The bar area was drab and not very clean.

   We sat in a soulless dining room. Not sure if this is because there was a wedding in the main room downstairs. Food was OK. Great staff.

   The hotel is lovely, very clean, value for money, we had a fantastic experience in the restaurant with Amsha being very attentive and nothing could be to much trouble for her.

   Lovely restaurant. Small and quaint. Quiet music playing. Nice atmosphere. Friendly polite staff nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful food. Good value for money, generous portions, I would definitely return in the future and would highly recommend to others. Thank you!

   I would not choose to eat here... The food was average. There was a wedding taking place so the restaurant was moved to what was basically the "spare room", with no "LAKESIDE VIEW" (the point of the restaurant). We were not made aware of this and cost was not subsidised. Staff were very stressed. Music kept on turning off. No atmosphere at all. I would not choose to eat at this restaurant. Even if it was in the correct room. The city centre is a 10 minute walk with plenty of other (better!) restaurants, so I would go into the centre instead.

   Unfortunately, our experience in the restaurant was not good. This was not at all the fault of the staff who were pleasant and helpful where it was possible. Fish and chips were ok. Pasta was overcooked. Wine was warm and there were no cold bottles available. The waiter got us an ice bucket but we had to ruin the average wine even further by adding ice. Breakfast in the restaurant was very poor - no plates for about 10 minutes, no milk, anaemic sausages, fried eggs all swimming in broken yolk, possible to slice the scrambled eggs. On the second day we booked a table at another hotel for breakfast. Sorry for poor review, but the food was not good at all.

   Over priced. Under seasoned. Small portions. The size of the steak was abysmal and it was all sinew. The chicken burger was a chicken breast cut into thirds. Read between the lines and notice that they don’t specify the amount or size of anything. Not worth the money at all.

   We booked a belayed mother's day lunch for 6 of us. When we got there, there was one guy complaining / refusing to pay for his stay. All staff seemed to be dealing with this 1 guy. There were no one anywhere else. The bar was empty, the restaurant was empty. We had booking at 12 noon. At 12:15, we eventually found someone walking by who we stopped. He said our table is set up and just go right through. At that point, we weren't even sure if we were in the right place it was so derelict. Imagine conference room with curtain that had been abandoned! We went into the restaurant and sure enough, there is 1 table set up for 6 so we sat down. Ordered our food. As soon as waiter walked away, light bulb started flickering. The water then pulled 2 table together so another row of 6 for us to move to. Same flicker albeit not as bad. Eventually we moved to the only other table which seats 6. No tablecloth. Looks like it's set up for breakfast. The meal was mediocre. We ordered flat iron steak which was clearly rump steak. 6 meals, 3 desserts and 2 glasses of wine came to £190. We've definitely had much much better in a 1000 times better environment for less. The whole place was awful. Would not recommend. The ONLY redeeming thing about the place is the one and only waiter. He tried his best.

    Restaurant we had specifically booked through open table had a wedding so we had to dine in the tea rooms as too late to book anywhere else for my sisters birthday. Food dreadful in tea rooms. Dry sandwiches. Bread and filling dry. We received a complimentary bottle of Prosecco due to mix up. Overall a very disappointing birthday. Will not be dining there again or using open table for bookings.

    We had a lovely stay, food was lovely room was amazing and bed comfortable we had such a relaxing well needed stay and will definitely return
