The Galley was a wonderful restaurant to visit. Our server Shareen was top notch and fabulous, couldn’t have asked for better service. The food was delicious ~ we had the chicken and the risotto. My only reason for not rating a 5 is due to the $20 charge for parking. I understand paying if you’re staying at the hotel however this should be waived if you’re eating dinner there. There are plenty of restaurants to eat at that do not charge for parking, or other hotels we’ve eaten at that charge $5. That is an excessive charge when you’re already spending $125 - $150 for dinner and drinks.

The staff from arrival to departure was exceptional. We had 5:30pm rez due to pre-theater scheduling and had the place to ourselves for the 1st hour. He dined indoors due to FL humidity. The restaurant is attractive, people dress smartly, tables are not too close, but the room is a bit cacophonous, and became more so as it began to fill. The menu is small but well put together. Its a little pricy but worth it for its great downtown location and Hilton hospitality. We go there often and will continue to do so.

Galley is one of my family favorites . The specials for the evening were a delightful addition to the usual menu. Our only complaint was the clear evidence of staff shortage. Our apps and entrees took forever to come out. The apps were excellent and our entrees would’ve been also if they weren’t luke warm to cold in temperature. A family of 4 spending over $500 on a dinner expects more and usually Galley delivers. The automatic service fee was over $80 and for that excellent service is the expectation. It was definitely not our servers fault who we could see was working far too many tables both in and outside. It was impossible for him to keep up so we didn’t bother complaining. But going forward we do expect the service standards and staffing compliment to improve.

Great food, everything was nicely prepared: we had the Cobia. Bathrooms are very dated and need an upgrade to be on a par with the rest of the restaurant.
