The service folks were very nice. The cocktails were mediocre, my sazerac tasted like it had cheap rye in it and I got none of the absinthe/anise flavor at all, which to me is key for that drink. The food was very hit or miss. We had the pork belly appetizer which had good flavor but was very tough, not like pork belly should be. I had the blackened fish which I believe said it came with gulf shrimp but no shrimp on the plate, possible I misread it. My fish was cooked well and had good flavor, and the croquettes that came with it were good, but the asparagus was terrible. There was a piece so underripe it was light green and yellow, too tough to even cut with a knife and it should have been noticed as the way it was plated, three main pieces of asparagus and other components layered on top so it was not part of a giant pile of vegetables heaped out of a pot or something, they were intentionally laid straight, in the middle of the plate. My husband had the duck which was also too tough. The mush that was underneath it was terrible, some sort of rice with mushrooms which had a sweet taste that was off putting and little hard pieces that I cannot even tell what they were but it was like gravel. My son had the wagyu burger, ordered medium but clearly was well done, which made it not good. His potatoes were fine, nothing special. My other son had the cajun pasta dish which he enjoyed and had good flavor. Given that the meal cost us about $250 (husband and I only had one drink since they were not particularly good) I just expected better quality across the board. Again some things were good, it's possible some things were merely a matter of taste we were not familiar with....but the burger and asparagus just errors that should have never made it out of the kitchen.

Tuesday night and it wasn’t crowded. Service was top notch. The food outstanding! Raw oyster and baked oysters were both to die for. Seafood stew finished off the meal. We will definitely be back!

We visited from out of town. The place is cozy and not too loud, but the service and food were exceptional!!!! My family is still talking about it 2 days later. If we ever come back to NOLA, this is a must stop!

Dined here on the evening of 11/1/24. Not full for a Friday night but that’s ok. We both ordered the pork chops. First of all, a thick cut bone in chop takes time to prepare. They had it out to us in 12 minutes. It was overcooked. Trying to cut it was impossible using a steak knife. Chop topped with two onion rings. There was a cornbread stuffing-too sweet. There was a sauce on the bottom of the plate that was horrible. It tasted like BBQ sauce with too much vinegar. The chop was too salty. We were disappointed. We were here from N.C. and made reservations because of all the great reviews. We told our server we couldn’t eat it. She took the plates away and said she needed to talk it over with her Manager. She came back to the table and said there wouldn’t be a charge for our uneaten meals. I’m disappointed in the Manager. Management never came to talk to us. Managers should always look for ways to improve and feedback. I wasn’t given the opportunity so I had to leave this review. DO Better!
