   I love this place! It’s unassuming but elegant and I love all their dishes I’ve tried. I like the look of the bar and the overall vibe. Chicken piccata is great!!!

   A nice addition to Clintonville, not fast food and not exactly fine dining, but very nice. I’ve been here several times. Food and service are always great. Much to my surprise, when the check came tonight, which was over $100, a 2.97% credit card fee was added. The only way to avoid that is to pay cash or write a check that may or may not be accepted. I typically don’t carry that much cash. You? I spoke with the manager and his hands are tied. I don’t think I’ve been to any restaurant in Columbus that does this. I think it’s unacceptable, especially without prior notice. I could have gone to my bank and taken out cash without a fee. As nice as it is to have Gallo’s here, I won’t be back unless this changes.

   Deborah - when we spoke, I was glad to hear that you were very satisfied with the food, service and every other aspect of your visit with the exception of the fee. To avoid this fee you may elect to pay via debit card in the future.

   Had a really outstanding filet, but my wife had to send her lobster ravioli back as it was undercooked and doughy. Still one our favorite places though. Great service and atmosphere, but a little noisy.

   Not great. Poor service and I did not receive what I ordered, so I declined the meal they brought by mistake. When our checks came no one had the correct items on the receipts.

   Patty - we sincerely apologize for not achieving the level of service that we strive for and that you expected. As you can see from the many other reviews posted on this forum, we try earnestly to exceed expectations and often do. The issue was addressed to all staff and management and corrective action has been implemented.

   Nice restaurant “ hidden” in a small store front area. Good food, moderately expensive but an excellent selection of choices and nightly specials. Although open noise level at an acceptable level for talking with your party. I definitely return!!

   I rarely do reviews, but this place deserves a follow-up. We really enjoyed our dinner at Gallos on High. We had the calamari, filet, mashed potatoes, Italian green beans and white lace salad. Everything was seasoned well and cooked perfectly. Our server was friendly, helpful and attentive. Thanks for a great evening, we’ll definitely go back soon!
