I haven’t had a need to write a bad review this much in a while so I’ll break it down:
Upon walking in, the hostess was so disinterested in seating us I thought she was gonna hand us menus and point at a table. If she had sat us at a larger table like I requested on OpenTable I’d have not written this but I’m 6’8” and we were sat in the smallest 2-top in a corner possible.
It took way too long for someone to approach our table for a drink order especially considering that there were only 3 tables sat on a Friday night. Our server spent a lot of time chillin at the bar btw.
Best part is that the food was very good. Worth the $? No, not really. Crab beignets were delicious when hot but went downhill quickly. First bites delicious all around but didn’t finish.
Especially frustrating when a $26 appetizer was delivered with no plates for us. I had to waive down our server to get some and the app was sitting there for a good 5 minutes getting cold which is not ideal at all with beignets.
Water was topped off 5 times before it was half empty (thank you!) but then sat empty for a good 10+ minutes next to my empty old fashioned (cocktails were delicious). I had to call over the server helping the couple next to us asking for him to get our server to come check on us.
We finally got to order another drink but our entrees came first.
For the ambiance, location, and prices, we expected more. I don’t think it was due to one server. So many people walked by us with me looking around for help.
When a manager did come check on us during entrees it felt like it was triage. Too little too late.
No feedback on desserts since they didn’t even offer. I’m guessing they heard me complaining to my girlfriend and assumed we weren’t interested.
The live jazz was great.
The ambiance is classy and lovely and we were excited to find a new go to for date night but we won’t be going back.
For the prices they charge, service CANNOT be that bad.
